Went down to fly my Sebach this afternoon, almost calm. Put it all together on the assembly table whilst chatting to Stuart. Put in the LiPo on the ground, connected up and put the motor "safe" on. Took off and proceeded to aerobat the model which just grooves round, noticed a bit of light from the wing root as the port wing was working loose. Suddenly remembered I had not secured the wing with the bolts that hold the wing halves tight to the fuselage; schoolboy error. Hasty gentle landing made, the wing rotated on the wing joiner just as I taxied back - phew. It just goes to show how easy it is forget something as basic as securing the wing when you are multi tasking. No excuse, three penalty points on my licence. John Prior had previously suggested the bolts (small 3mm ones)be put back in the holes to remind me - wise words John, will now do this. |

It's chatting to people that does it. I had a similar thing once with my WOT4, I found that the elevator trim was way out and when dived it didn't want to recover. On inspection I only had the wing bolts finger tight so the wing as lifting at the trailing edge.....I had been chatting while assembling the model (probably to Stuart ). |

I like the idea of putting the bolts back in the holes after dismantling takes time but a good reminder for next time. |
