Lots of reports that Traplet are in administration so check before you buy plan/parts/subscription. I was considering a plan/parts pack for this winter so hope it continues in one form or other.

They filed for insolvency on 24th July, staff were made redundant the following day (see: https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/2829198). No word on what will happen to the plans etc., so no doubt they will be sold by the receiver along with any other assets. The canopies etc. were under a different company, Sarik, which seems to be still operating. I spent some 20 years with them, so sad times...

From Scale Soaring forum...

Sarik Hobbies Ltd are pleased to announce they have acquired the rights to sell many of the products and services previously offered by Traplet Publications, excluding magazine publishing.

A new web site is under construction and we hope to be in the position to offer these products and services in the near future.

We hope to update you again soon!

Found this on the model flying forum dated 8th August

Introducing plans, woodpacks and accessories by SarikHobbies

The right to sell many of the UK’s favourite R/C aircraft and boat plans has now been acquired by SarikHobbies, including popular designs from RCM&E, RC Model World, Radio Modeller and Quiet & Electric Flight International magazines. The company’s range also includes a large number of laser cut woodpacks, as well as a wide selection of glass-fibre and vac-formed parts to match many of the plans that they hold, such as cowls and canopies, etc.

Besides a huge range of model aircraft products, SarikHobbies also offer a wide selection of model boat plans, hulls and woodpacks for designs showcased in Model Boats and Marine Modelling International magazines.

A new online store is under construction to show off the hundreds of model plans and associated products that the company offers, but for now customers are requested to visit the existing SarikHobbies website, which shows the company’s long established plastic model products, for up to date contact details:

www.sarikhobbies.com

For modellers within driving distance of Malvern, a collection service is also available during office hours. Visitors are welcome to top up their balsa sheet and strip wood stocks at the same time!

I have checked the Sarik website and it makes a brief statement about products being available but there doesn't appear to be a catalogue, or shop entries to browse yet.

Best wishes

My copy of RCM&E arrived today. Pages 108 and 109 are a Sarik Hobbies advertisement for plans and woodpacks previously available from Traplet. So it lloks as if these products have been reinstated by Sarik. Still no list of products on their website yet.

I have contacted Sarik about a wood pack etc for a Dennis Bryant design. They have come back with an email listing the items and prices. So it seems they are up and running.
