My Discovery went down behind the trees on the South side of the Field last Saturday morning. Looking at the tall trees to the left of the gap we normally approach through, the model went down just left of the middle of the trees.

Ian Dinan and I spent nearly two hours searching with no avail. Should anyone come across the model please let me know. Thank you.

My Partner and I spent a further 90 minutes looking this afternoon, without success.

Weird how such a large model can disappear, the moreso when there are barely any leaves on the trees!

You may be surprised at how far a model will fly once behind the tree line. The foam model will be obvious if in the lake but don't be surprised that it may be in the copse beyond. Many models have gone that far. When I am next at the field I will have a good look as well. Keep us informed if you recover the model.

As Norman says, I eventually found my Taylorcraft in a tree on the far side of the lake, while expecting to find in the lake! Good luck...

Walked the copse three times this morning, round the lake again and re-checked the trees I last saw the model drop behind.

The only good news was the amazing display of bluebells in the copse! No doubt it will turn up one day, in the most unexpected of places......
