I have been using the Loc8or tags for a few years and they are very reliable. I originally bought them for my cats and have now started putting them in my aircraft. Not cheap, but I find in this world you get what you pay for. http://www.loc8tor.com/uk/everyday/loc8tor-lite-rc.html/?utm_source=globalhome&utm_medium=hero&utm_campaign=rchobbies |

I remember a few years ago finding a Loc8ator tag on the strip, easy to find even visually but not help finding the model it had fallen out of. |

Not sure what the true range is on the bluetooth unit. Think 50m might be a bit optimistic. |

The NUT just arrived, took a few attempts to get it to connect via bluetooth to my Android phone but looks to be working ok.The APP gives you a GPS map plot of the location of the NUT. Not bad for about 6 squids....

This looks to be a fantastic little unit if it does what it says on the tin. If you are out of bluetooth range does it still show the GPS location on your map on the smartphone? |

Yes it does do GPS, checked it out, works a treat. Also ordered a couple of these, even cheaper at about £1.50 inc postage :- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311553763915?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&var=610537599057&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Regards, IanD |
