My Spectrum DX6 Tx recently developed a fault with the Roller Switch in that it's operation was very intermittent. On Googling to try and find an answer, found out it is a common problem with the microswitch under the roller failing. I didn't want to send my transmitter away for repair in the middle of the nice weather, so I searched for a replacement switch. I was able to find one on EBay with cost me the princely sum of £3.50 including postage.
The switch arrived today so I set about replacing the old one. I have to say, it was a very easy job as once the back is off the transmitter, the switch assembly is clearly visible and held on with two screws. Removing the assembly, replacing the switch and reassembling everything took me about 15 minutes. So if you have a failing roller switch don't be afraid to have a go as it is a simple job.

The switch for the DX6 and DX6i are the same. I got the same search result as you and ordered the DX6i switch.

Have replaced the micro switch and it is in fact much better, my initial reaction was wrong, it is a definite improvement.

Your soldering must be better than mine, it took me 1/2 hour. mostly getting the old one out......

I was taught how to solder as a young matelot. The main thing is, you got the right result, glad it all went ok.
