No, we're still fighting. I mentioned the tournament because it is a priority, and my priorities come before my grudge matches. I'm in the middle of typing my post for the GT as we speak, and it'll be coming to a close soon, seeing as my opponent wasn't attentive of the fact that he absorbed steam that had a hallucinogen floating around in it. I said I'm not afraid of you, and this fight is going to happen. The explanation you gave of Cee is fine with me, and I don't intend on simply having the Queen scream and auto-disable you. That's called power-gaming, and it is frowned upon for good reason. As for being fans of Berserk go, it doesn't dictate our general playing style, and while we do draw inspiration from certain aspects of it, both of us play characters who are inherently good people, the shining light in the darkness so-to-speak, and aren't just about wallowing in despair. I do not view reality the way Berserk describes it, but I'm not afraid to venture toward existential extremes when creating characters, even if they are too much for other people to handle, but that's due to the rawness I infuse them with. I am not the type of person who is known for restraining himself. I simply show everything I'm made of, and deal with the consequences of those who decide to look. To name a few: Thomas Balvice is a former police detective turned BlackOps paranormal investigator, Maxwell Lionheart is one of Guts', also a member of that organization so no... our characters do not revolve around being depressed lunatics, though a good chunk of them may or may not be perceived in this light. And this was after you called my group a wholesale ripoff. No, I'm aware that you guys take your creations seriously, and when I referenced your playing style, I was referring to the fact that its comedic nature is not my cup of tea, or forte, and I made this clear to Reno multiple times when he insisted that I join. And to be quite honest, it only occurred with a few characters, not all of yours, otherwise I wouldn't enjoy Reno's writing as Crim El Faruga, Axiom's writing as Saori Kimura, or even that Roland character who showed up to rescue her in Festival of Crows. I made it clear that I didn't have a problem with indulging in activities alongside the Yggdrasil Crew when I decided that Morbid was going to betray the Trematoda (a group whose playing style I heavily enjoyed by the way, although their OOC methods were highly questionable *cough*Drat*cough*) mid-way through after finding other Niraans aboard the hangar. Genre-wise it is simply not my style or method, but it does have pros alongside their cons for me, otherwise I wouldn't bother with any of you at all. |

o_O Hi. @LaserLight: Over 700 posts in the random fight area, and probably only a tenth of them involve or even relate to any actual fighting. It's pretty much become our general discussion area, considering there isn't much to discuss right now other than GT#4 and whether or not Reno is going to put Thundergoddess over his knee and spank her. I just glanced over the Multiverse and Persistent Worlds area, and I didn't really see anything specific to the Val'Gara. Unless you are referring to the profile dump area, where Alu saw fit to put all of the Val'Garan assets. Otherwise, there might be some mention, because Guts and Aluluchan tend to have all their characters interconnected via some strange web of relationships, but the Val'Gara are certainly not the focus of any of those threads as far as I can tell. I'm not saying you were intentionally mischaracterizing the situation or that the actual situation is any better than your gut is suggesting, but you obviously only gave things a very superficial look and were wrong about the direction I am trying to take Lagedorre. The only reason I am hosting GT#4 at all is because I thought there may be interested parties who do like to roleplay, don't really feel they have a place to do so, and see if I can help them out. Once the GT is over, either people will stick around and roleplay, which is my hope, or things will crawl along at a terrifically slow pace, which is probably closer to what will actually happen. Even so, if I can even get a few of them to stay and write, I'm pretty sure we can put together some awesome stories. |

Will there be coffee? Wonderful, amazing coffee? If so, I might be inclined to stick around for abuse's sake. If there's coffee. |

I'm more of a rich, creamy hot chocolate kind of a guy. But I suppose if I invest in a Keurig machine, and steal some k-cups from the hippies down the street, I can supply some coffee. |

I think there is some potential if we can come to some kind of agreement towards cooperative ends or something gay like that. My theory is that dedicated RP sites fail because of the ebb and flow of forum RPing in general. As a subsection on a site that is not primarily dedicated to RPing, however, there is a lot more potential. This is due to the potential to attract new RPers from the "general population" of the site. This was one of my reasons for reviving RR at Neo-RB. Also to spite Free, but that's just a secondary personal perk that doesn't have anything to do with anything LOL. Of course, as RB itself would need to open up a little bit more (or even a lot more) in general if this idea were ever to come to fruition. But I believe it is the most solid plan of action yet presented. Neither Lagedorre or FFL have enough resources alone to make anything work, that much is pretty clear. |

Maybe. AL wasn't really a dedicated RP site, but it seems to have failed; at least, where RR was concerned. That was even with several cross-cutting members from other subforums, but those members didn't take a whole lot of interest in RR anyway from what I saw. But yeah, resources is an issue. I mean, I could probably make several alts and roleplay with myself to trick people into thinking it was active instead of mentally unbalanced, but that isn't for real. |

RR was around for a long time before it went down though. Most of the sites that I RPed at over the years had vibrant RP sections that lasted for a number of years. Basically I am just going by personal experience. Sites that are solely dedicated to RPing don't thrive as well as general-interest type sites with an RP sub-section. Also, when it comes to dedicated RP sites, they tend to bottleneck themselves into specific genres and styles. Diversity is practically nonexistent. |

I agree on the diversity thing, but I was on an RP specific forum for several years before it shit-canned itself. But yeah, anecdotes. Woo-hoo. A community will only stay successful so long as its members can be kept passionate or at least vaguely interested. |

Well that's been the key to the Ygg Crew's ongoing success. Since 2001. Or technically, 1999. |

I knew Mewtwo wouldn't be able to resist my charms for long. Why is that furry even a judge/mod anyway. He is terrible and too fat for the internet. |

He is a judge because 1.) he has experience doing judgments and 2.) practically everyone I've discussed his judgments with said they were OK with them and 3.) low-hanging fruit. He is a mod because he is a judge and I gave him and the other judges limited powers to help manage things. What exactly is the story with you two, anyway? *angry cat hissing noises* |

LOL. It was just getting to the good part too. It's always funny when the other person starts declaring a desire to cause bodily harm, or wishing it done on someone. There's people out there that apparently still want me dead. You believe that crap? Over some nonsense from so long ago I don't remember who they are. Hota told me once. LOL..sooo funny |
