ENTRANCE & ATTIRE

Entrance Music:
"Tick of the Clock" by Chromatics

Ring Attire:
Bisley's default attire is a pair of blue wights with a white waistband, featuring a white ace of spades on the right hip, a Vitruvian Man design on the left thigh, and "BISLEY" in a scripted font on the butt.

He has alternate versions in black or red, as well as in the colours of the Vikings and the Timberwolves for those rare occasions where it might seem wise to show pride for his local teams.

To round out the attire he has white tape on both wrists and a black elbow pad on his right elbow, which he usually removes when hitting a lariat, as well as black boots with black kickpads.

For his entrance attire, he wears a black t-shirt - usually his merchandise - with a white towel draped around his shoulders.

Ring Entrance:
The lights are extinguished, and for a moment the arena is in total darkness – until blue lights begin to pulse in tune with the intro “Tick of the Clock”, building in volume and intensity until, at the exact moment the main hook begins to cut in, “Smart” Mark Bisley walks out at the top of the ramp with an arm raised, pausing for a moment at the top of the ramp to survey the arena before a smirk crosses the side of his mouth and he begins to walk down the ramp.

Bisley walks down the ramp with his arm still raised, his gum firmly chewed as he smirks, pausing halfway down the ramp and holds his arms out wide and tilts his head back, inviting the crowd to show their appreciation for everything he does for them, before continuing towards the ring.

Once he reaches the ring, Bisley finds a suitable spot and he lifts himself up to sit on the edge of the apron, where he taps the side of his head and smirks, before rolling backwards under the ropes and quickly gets to his feet in the ring.

Bisley walks to the nearest corner and climbs the turnbuckles, removing the towel from his shoulders and placing it on the ropes as he looks out over the arena. He climbs down and crosses the ring, climbing the opposite turnbuckles and stands with one foot on the top rope, raising both his arms into the air, before climbing down and removing his shirt, placing it on that set of turnbuckles. Finally, he approaches the centre of the ring and drops to a knee, caressing the canvas as he looks his opponent in the eye to say one thing: this is my ring.

Championship Entrance:

CHARACTER BACKGROUND

Picbase:
Eddie Edwards

Gimmick:
Technical master who loves to rub it in his opponents’ faces - before, during and after a match.

Strengths:
1. Cool head - it is very, very hard for an opponent to rattle Bisley and take him off his game
2. Surgical precision – give him a chance and Bisley will quickly and efficiently take apart an opponent’s limb, either to set up the Minnesota Cloverleaf or just to weaken them
3. Strategy – Bisley scouts his opponents in great deal, determined to find any moment where he can exploit the opponent and turn the match in his favour

Weaknesses:
1. Aesthete – Bisley will only accept a decisive victory, meaning he can pass over an opportunity to win with a roll-up as he would rather win with a final flourish, which could potentially backfire
2. Passive Aggressive – Bisley has a habit of assuming his superiority, and at the same time assuming his opponent’s inferiority, which can motivate an opponent
3. Entitlement – while he has made a habit of backing up everything he says, it has given Bisley the attitude that it shouldn’t take long before he’s given everything he wants.

Taunts/Mannerisms:
1. After getting an early nearfall on his opponent, Bisley will let the opponent know just how close he was to winning
2. If he's in a multi-person match against an opponent with a signature submssion manoeuvre of their own, Bisley will slap that submission onto one of the other opponents and tell the person whose move he's stealing how inferior their manoeuvre is

Bio:
In late 2011 it was announced that New Wave had signed someone who was at the very beginning of their career, a 21-year old out of Minneapolis by the name of Mark Bisley. At the time the it was assumed that they had just picked up a rookie who was looking to get their first big break in the wrestling business – but they soon found out it was more than that. So much more.
From the moment he first set foot in a New Wave ring, it became clear that they had a very special talent with ability way beyond his years, as in the space of three months Bisley grew from someone who was stealing shows on the undercard to being the company’s champion, which led to him declaring himself “The New Ace of New Wave”, a title he more than lived up to as he remained unbeaten in the company for over eighteen months – and that solitary loss that blots his copybook only came about as a result of the company’s owner going out of their way to get the title off of him.

Yet in spite of his singles dominance over the company, he always wanted something more. A dynasty. He even began to put this plan into action, offering an opportunity to a fellow trainee he met when he was was invited to train in Japan, a trainee by the name of Shintaro Majima. Yet in spite of this plan being put into action, it never came to pass as New Wave went on hiatus – and when the company returned, while Bisley did return to maintain his dominance, Majima did not.

Several years later, though, with Majima having finally established himself in the United States, Bisley feels that it is time to put their plan into action: two men, and as many titles as they can carry.
