Me again LoL. Yea so I already posted a topic for the Madden 08 modding community (if you are a Madden 08 pc gamer then go check that out) & now here is the pc baseball modding community link. On this site you will find mods for MVP baseball for pc (including updated rosters, stadiums, schedules, equipment (battling gloves, cleats, etc etc etc) Uniforms, basically everything to make the game look like it was a brand new release for PC every year. Same with the MLB 2k series you will find updated rosters, stadiums, schedules, equipment, uniforms, etc etc etc the hole nine yards! So if you don't already know about it then here is the link to MVP Mods community

Well 2k12 will be a bit easier to find but that is even around $100+ new & around $50 used for it. Here is a listing I just found on amazon for 2k12 ----> 3 new from $99.99 4 used from $49.99 <---- Much better then almost $300 for a 10 year old game LoL. But yea I do not condone pirating games either (especially pc games where we are lucky to even have any at all) but in this case with an old game that the series has been discontinued on pc.... let's just say if I didn't already own a legitimate copy of MLB 2k12 to give me my pc baseball fix then who knows. I may have been tempted to go the torrent route with MVP 05 haha. I just wish they would release a GOOD pc baseball game again man. I mean the only half decent option other then still playing 2k12 or MVP 05 with mods is RBI Baseball on pc & that game really does not cut it for me at all.

Totally feel you. I'm tempted to buy PS4 just for The Show. Every other game I want is on Xbox (Halo, Gears, EA Access, Forza).

I've tried OOTP, which is outstanding, but you don't get to actually play the games (for the most part).

I am a MLB 2k12 pc guy LoL. I actually think MVP baseball is the best baseball series ever made & I use to rock the crap out of it every year on console. I didn't get into pc gaming until a few years ago (I made the switch from consoles LoL). By then there was no more MVP baseball on pc so I was stuck with MLB 2k12 pc. I would love MVP 05 on pc (the last MVP on pc) but the prices ppl want for it are insane man. The cheapest I have seen it for anytime I look on ebay or amazon is at least $100 & that is for a used copy LoL. I mean I love the MVP baseball series but not enough to pay $100+ for a used copy of an over 10 year old game that I won't even know if it even works until I get it & try playing it haha.

edit: haha I just decided to check for the heck of it on Amazon right now & this is what I found as far as the prices for MVP 05 pc right now...

5 new from $299.96 <--- the cheapest is $299.96 right now because it is in the middle of the MLB season LoL. People realize there is a modding community for MVP baseball & want to make as much money as they can selling the game to pc gamers :/
I don't always condone it (though I'm not always opposed to it), but it'd be best to find a torrent of it somewhere. $300 on a 10+ year old game is ridiculous.

I'll have to find a copy of 2K12 to see if I like it. I loved those games on my Xbox.
I don't think you can even consider it piracy if it's abandonware that legally can no longer be sold by the people who made it because they've lost the rights to the MLB license. Right now the only legit way to get the game is to give a friend of yours who owns it on Steam $60 and have them gift you a copy and I've been looking forever for someone willing to gift me MLB or Blur with no luck. It sucks that Sony won't treat the PC like neutral ground the way other publishers do and give us The Show. I love that game but I'm not buying a ps4 for 1 game when I can buy 2 480's for the same price.

I've used MVPMods for keeping 2K12 up-to-date every year so far with rosters, unis, player portraits, stadiums, etc. Great community.

Awesome Paul! Yea it is a really cool community man. Hopefully a full conversion mod will be released soon this year for MLB 2k12 because last years was amazing!

I guess technically that is true Apost LoL. It isn't like it's taking away money from 2k or EA especially when the game is over 4 years old in the case of MLB 2k12 & over 10 years old in the case of MVP 05 & it's a discontinued dead series on pc. The only way to get either of those games is to pay hundreds of dollars to buy it from someone on ebay or amazon & that money definitely is not going to 2k or EA or as you said to get lucky & find someone on steam who is willing to part with it for some cash which is very hard considering anyone who has it is not easily willing to give it up LoL. So yea I guess torrenting those 2 games isn't really that bad after all hmmmm....
