Archetypes are the skills your character specialises in and usually dictates what your character is able to learn and use. Each character can have a maximum of four archetypes, known as the Primary Archetype, Secondary Archetype, Tertiary Archetype, and Quaternary Archetype. Every character can start off with three archetypes but do not get their fourth archetype until A-rank. This being said, it is fine for your character to know one or two techniques outside of their archetypes as long as they are low-rank techniques (staff will decide whether or not unranked techniques are considered low-rank techniques in this situation so that unranked techniques are not abused). In general, though, your are not to go outside of your archetypes for your characters arsenal and doing so could result in your character being declined until the appropriate changes are made.- Hollows

— Zanjutsu (斬術, Art of the Sword): is the fighting style for the Zanpakutō (i.e. sword fighting) and is one of the four basic fighting styles of the Shinigami. It is shameful for a Shinigami to not master at least this technique. It is the specialty of Captain Kenpachi Zaraki of the 11th Division. Kendō is a modern Japanese martial art of sword-fighting based on traditional samurai swordsmanship. Yachiru Unohana is particularly masterful in this art.
Hakuda (白打, White Hits): is a close-combat style of fighting, in which one is unarmed and uses only one's body, and is one of the four basic fighting styles of the Shinigami. Captain Suì-Fēng of the 2nd Division excels in this style. High-speed Taijutsu attacks are used to overwhelm the opponent. Physical strength and skill is determined by this class. It seems to be a combination of several martial arts. The foremost practitioners of this technique are those assigned to the Executive Militia of the Onmitsukidō.
Sonído (響転, Sound): is a high-speed movement technique of the Arrancar. It is equivalent to the Shinigami's Shunpo, which is roughly equal in terms of speed, and the Quincy's Hirenkyaku. While somewhat similar to Hohō in regards to function and speed, Sonído appears to be more instinctual, seemingly requiring no previous knowledge to perform. It produces a different sound; rather than the swishing or sometimes silent Shunpo of the Shinigami, Sonído makes a booming or static noise. Though the technique is exhibited by most Arrancar, the proficiency with which it can be performed is limited only by the individual, with Zommari Rureaux possessing the self-proclaimed fastest Sonído among the Espada. However, it is unknown if such claims are true, given that Zommari was outranked by six Espada of higher power, with Coyote Starrk in particular being able to cover tremendous distances at such speed that his Sonído seemed akin to teleportation. Starrk's use is notable for the fact that he simply appears solidly instead of shimmering momentarily like other Sonído users.
Cero (虚閃, Empty Disaster): is an attack used by Menos, Arrancar, and Visored. The practitioner fires a powerful blast of concentrated spiritual energy at the target. While in most cases it is fired from the mouth, some Arrancar and Visored can fire Cero from their hands, fingers, and other parts of their bodies. This often requires the user to take on a specific pose, with Coyote Starrk being the only exception. The power, force, speed, and blast area of the Cero is dependent on the strength, spiritual power, and sometimes skill of the user (i.e. the stronger the user, the stronger the attack), and there are some Arrancar who have come up with their own variation of Cero. The charging and firing time for Cero varies greatly, from charging relatively fast to firing it to instantaneously firing one without much charging. Despite the damage it can cause at long range distances, Love Aikawa states the damage which a Cero causes as an explosion is more dangerous when used at close range.- Bala (虚弾, Bullet): While similar in function to a Cero, a Bala is not nearly as powerful, but, thanks to its composition, its speed is 20 times faster, allowing it to be fired in quick succession. In addition, it possesses more concussive force than a typical Cero does. The overall speed and power of a Bala varies depending on the Arrancar using it; while the power of Yammy Llargo's version is equated with a particularly powerful punch, Ulquiorra Cifer's can blast large holes into an enemy's body.
Arrancarification (破面, To Tear Off): is a Hollow that has removed its mask and has gained Shinigami-like powers. An Arrancar who utilizes the Arrancarification archetype is capable of utilizing their true form despite not utilizing a stereotypical Zanpakutou. This will also enable better usage of distinct abilities such as Caja Negacion, Descorrer, Pesquisa, and Hierro.

Kido (鬼道, Demon/Spirit Away): is a form of Shinigami combat based on advanced spells. These spells are produced with strong Reiryoku and fall into two categories: Hadō for direct attacks, and Bakudō for battle support. It is one of the techniques in the Zankensoki, the group of Shinigami primary combat skills. Kidō spells are triggered by an incantation. Experienced users can trigger them without an incantation, though the effectiveness of the spell will be diminished. The Kidō Corps is a branch of Soul Society's military which excels in the mastery of Kidō.
Hohō (歩法, Flash Step): is the name given to one of the four combat skills of the Shinigami and relates to footwork. Hohō is an important skill for most Shinigami, and is one of their four basic fighting styles. The agility and speed of Hohō can be enhanced and improved through concentration, training, and mastery of it. The foremost practitioners of this technique are those assigned to the Onmitsukidō. Shunpo is the greatest expression of the Hohō technique. However, there are variations even within Shunpo which only master Hohō practitioners can use.
Shunkō (瞬閧, Flash War Cry): is an advanced battle technique which combines the physical techniques of Hakuda with the spell-based techniques of Kidō. You can have Hakuda and Kidō as two separate archetypes to make up for this one. If you have this archetype alone, you can only use variants based off this technique/ability.
- Quincy

— Hirenkyaku (飛廉脚, "Flying Screen Step/God Step; Viz: "Flying Bamboo-Blind Leg"): is an advanced Quincy movement technique, allowing the user to move at high speed by riding on the flow of Reishi created below their feet.[1] Essentially, it is the Quincy equivalent to the Shinigami's Shunpo and the Arrancar's Sonído.
Gintō (銀筒,"Silver Tubes"): are small containers which Quincy use to store their Reiryoku. They are utilized as components in Quincy spellcasting, resembling Kidō.
Hakuda (白打, White Hits): is a close-combat style of fighting, in which one is unarmed and uses only one's body, and is one of the four basic fighting styles of the Shinigami. The Quincy are not commonly known to possess this type of ability as it would defy their original form of combat, archery. Although this does not exclude the Quincy from being able to utilize Hakuda, it is only known to be an ignored combat style.
Kenjutsu (剣術,"Sword Technique"): pertains to techniques that entail the use of swords, whether the users be Shinigami, Arrancars, or even Quincy. This is considered to be a lesser form of swordsmanship in comparison to the Shinigami's Zanjutsu combat style, pertaining its own techniques. However in the right hands with the correct amount of training, can be put on an equivalent standing.
Hetsurau Blut (諂う血装,"Enhanced Blood Guise"): A form of the Blut Arts used by the quincy in order to strengthen this specific power. It is mostly seen among the Non-pure blood Quincy whom are naturally born as an inferior breed. Pure bloods are not commonly known to carry this form of Blut Art, as it would be considered wasteful.
Hetsurau Reishi (諂う霊子,"Enhanced Spirit Enslavement"): is a trained form of Reishi Enslavement for Non-Pure Blood quincy's, considering their known inferiority to the Pure Bloods. As a form of combat style for a non-pure blood quincy, it grants them an equivelant power to an original pure blood. Most pure blood quincy's are not common known to carry this for, such like the Enhanced Blut Art; it is considered to be a waste.

- Immense Strength
- Immense Strength is a trait that appears in some beings, giving them unimaginable power. Their hakuda strengths are incredibly devastating.
- Above Average Speed
- Some beings are faster than others, allowing them to attain speeds that are impossible for others. They are naturally faster than most. Do not let this confuse you, if you have this archetype you will only be faster than the people that are in your category. For example, if you was an EXPERT Sonido user and you had this archetype you will only be faster than other EXPERT sonido users rather than just bump you up to MASTER.
- Enormous Reiryoku
- If someone has Enormous Reiryoku, they possess a larger reservoir than the average Shinigami/Arrancar/Quincy. They are able to use more Kido spells and attacks that require reiryoku than others, and maintain their Shikai, Bankai, Vollstanding or Resurreccion for longer periods of time.
- Immense Durability
- If someone has Immense Durability, they can take more damage than many others of their race. If a Shinigami, this comes in the form of instinctive reiatsu shielding (though not to the level of an Arrancar's Hierro), and being able to take more injuries and still fight competently. If an Arrancar, their Hierro is hardened to proportions that are unknown to other Arrancars.
- Enhanced Reishi Control
- To perform some variations of Reishi-based techniques you will need to wield enhanced Reishi control. Such as the Quincy's advanced Blut technique, which requires a high concentration to perform them successfully. Note, wielding this unique ability will also boast your Hirenkyaku and will also give the user the ability to wield Blue Flames (only Echt Quincy).
