Hakuda

is a close-combat style of fighting, in which one is unarmed and uses only one's body, and is one of the four basic fighting styles of the Shinigami. Captain Suì-Fēng of the 2nd Division excels in this style. High-speed Taijutsu (体術, Body Skill) attacks are used to overwhelm the opponent. Physical strength and skill is determined by this class. It seems to be a combination of several martial arts.

The foremost practitioners of this technique are those assigned to the Executive Militia of the Onmitsukidō.

  • D-Ranked → Isshin Handstand Dash → The practitioner stands on their hands and then uses his arms to move forward at a high speed. It can be used while going up a hill as proof of a high level of stamina for the practitioner.

  • D-Ranked → Takigoi → The practitioner utilizes this technique to create an opening in their opponents defense. When the target kicks out, the user blocks the attack with their forearm. When the foe moves to kick them with their other foot, the practitioner grabs the blocked foot with their free hand while simultaneously blocking the second attack with their legs. The user subsequently traps the opponents second foot between their legs. With both legs trapped, the target is now open to attack and the user takes advantage of the situation to attack with their free hand.

  • C-Ranked → Tesshō → An open palm strike which can effortlessly shatter a Hollow's head with a single strike.

  • C-Ranked → Taketonbo → Holding their hand out to the side, the practitioner performs a simple but effective throw, which violently flips their victim upside down. The victim lands heavily on their back, which knocks the wind out of them.

  • C-Ranked → Super Harisen Slipper → The practitioner slaps the target with a slipper. The attack is simple but has enough force to knock Shinji Hirako flying through a wall and one of Hachigen Ushōda's barriers.

  • C-Ranked → Panty-Flash Tornado → The practitioner performs an upside-down rotating straddle split, allowing them to deliver multiple kick attacks to a nearby opponent

  • B-Ranked → Tsukiyubi → The practitioner extends the index and middle fingers of one hand in unison while they are in contact with an opponent, who is sent flying several meters away.

  • B-Ranked → Gatling Mad-Stomping → The practitioner performs multiple foot stomps on the target's face. The technique is powerful enough to send Ichigo Kurosaki flying and completely shatter his Hollow mask.

  • B-Ranked → Chōhigezutsuki → A headbutt attack with enough force to send an opponent flying backward a considerable distance.

  • A-Ranked → Sandbag Beat → The practitioner performs multiple extremely fast strikes, causing aggravated damage to a target. The technique is powerful enough to shatter a Menos Grande's mask and utterly destroy its body.

  • A-Ranked → Kazaguruma → Throwing their body up into the air, the practitioner makes a shearing movement with their legs, allowing them to move one leg in front of the other, before performing a devastating kick which sends the target flying away with tremendous force.

  • A-Ranked → Kagamibiraki → After puncturing their target with the tips of their fingers, the practitioner rips their opponent in half through sheer physical strength.

  • A-Ranked → Kagamibiraki → After puncturing their target with the tips of their fingers, the practitioner rips their opponent in half through sheer physical strength.

  • A-Ranked → Oni Dekopin → Pulling a finger back against their thumb, the practitioner flicks it at an opponent. The blow carries enough physical force to send the opponent flying a considerable distance away and crashing through multiple physical constructs.

  • A-Ranked → Mashiro Kick → The practitioner aims a kick at her opponent. They then follow this up with multiple immediate kicks to multiple targets. A single kick is strong enough to shatter the mask of a Gillian-class Menos Grande.

  • S-Ranked → Mashiro Super Kick → The practitioner crouches down in preparation and then unleashes a powerful kick upwards. The attack is potent enough to instantly kill the giant Hollow creature Hooleer.

  • S-Ranked → Mashiro Drop Kick → From above the target, the practitioner drops down with both feet, hitting their opponent with enough force to create a large crater when they hit the ground. It hits the target with enough force to nullify a Cero.

  • S-Ranked → Raiōken → The practitioner performs a series of ultra-high-speed punches with both arms. When performing this technique while wearing anti-Hierro armor, Yoruichi Shihōin severely cracked Sōsuke Aizen's first form and destroyed the surrounding portion of the fake Karakura Town in the process.

  • S-Ranked → Ikkotsu → A powerful punch which can destroy much of the target's abdomen, send them flying along a city street, and throw them through a building.

  • S-Ranked → Sōkotsu → A powerful, two-fisted punch used which can totally destroy an opponent in one blow.

  • S-Ranked → Shunkō → Shunkō is the highest form of Hakuda technique. It comes in elements such as 'wind' or 'lightning'. It is an ultra-powerful technique in which one drives Kidō into one's arms and legs. The Kidō itself can be controlled and fired at opponents from the body. Shunkō was first used by Captain Suì-Fēng in her fight against her old master, Yoruichi Shihōin. Suì-Fēng states she invented the technique of combining Kidō and Hakuda so recently she had no experience with it in battle, let alone enough time to give it a name. Yoruichi, however, reveals Shunkō is the technique's name, and she invented and learned the ability long before Suì-Fēng. The keisen uniform has no back or sleeves because the fabric will rip apart when the user's back and arms are filled with Kidō. Though Yoruichi's Shunkō is perfected, she still has difficulties controlling it. The uniform worn when punishment is carried out is specifically geared for Shunkō. By concentrating Shunkō around a particular area of their body, a practitioner can prevent attacks from damaging or piercing this area.

The following are sub abilities of Shunkō:

S-Ranked → Hanki → An ability which nullifies an opponent's Kidō by hitting it with another one of perfectly opposite speed and energy. The ability can even neutralize an opponent's movements.

S-Ranked → Mukyū Shunkō → Suì-Fēng would go on to complete the technique after her fight with Yoruichi. She discovered a technique for making the Reiatsu she emits revolve around her like a vortex indefinitely, allowing her to maintain her Shunkō for as long as she wishes once she activates it.

S-Ranked → Shunkō: Raijin Senkei → Gaining a circle of electrical energy in the shape of Raijin's drums attached to her back as her bangs rise to form horns, Yoruichi unleashes a giant column of concentrated electrical energy to engulf her opponent.

S-Ranked → Shunkō: Bakuen Musō → The pressurized Kidō emitted from Yūshirō's back creates a large explosion of concentrated energy, which engulfs his opponent and heavily damages them.
