                  • ORIGINS

Currently the official name of the government pre-dating the Belladar Dynasty is still under heavy speculation, but one can note that this was in-fact a new de facto political entity that shared no connection or correlation to the original Galactic Empire. Rather the Rasquez Imperium, as most historians have taken to referencing it, bore no connection to the principles of the New Order and in its first incarnation beneath Emperor Octavious Rasquez simply rather sought dominance over the galactic body. Such behavior is widely noted in connection to their downfall as a dynasty: a key sign being the prominent decline in force-sensitives on a galaxy-wide level.

From the few historical documents that remain from their Era, we can safely assume that the Rasquez Imperium was vicious in its pursuit of galactic domination in both its incarnations (the first more so). Octavious Rasquez and his forces were complicit in and connected to the persecution and mass-killings of the galaxy's force sensitive populace. The second incarnation of the Rasquez Imperium, lead by brothers Arkavenn and Revinu Rasquez, was not at all as violent and the brothers have been widely recognized as the key benefactors of cultural development in what would become Katarri Home Space. The Rasquez Imperium was an intergalactic governing body that, while baring some relative similarities to the Galactic Empire: was in-fact its own political entity and little remains of the dynasty beyond the people of The Katarri States.

                  • NEW ROYAL FAMILY

Precipitating a sudden decline of the Rasquez Imperium's second incarnation — the Rasquez bloodline was believed to have ended with the brothers Arkavenn and Revinus' presumed deaths, and as-per their instructions control was ultimately ceded to Rivoche Belladar, a prominent military tactician with an extensive record in quashing rebellious overtones throughout the galaxy. And while it is noted that His Imperial Majesty conducted numerous campaigns to secure territory for the Rasquez Imperium, he became exceedingly liberalized nearing the end of his tenure before ascending to the Imperial Throne.

Archival footage pertaining to the change in royalties has exhibited a degree of falsification. There are some who connect the change of policy to His Imperial Majesty directly, whereas others prefer to describe the overall political sphere as having been heavily modernized in its social reconstruction post-dissolution of the Rasquez Imperium. Conduct otherwise unbecoming of the far-right was the rhetoric of outlawing slavery and the federalization of industry — two key changes made on the order of His Imperial Majesty after having ascended to the throne. In highlighting these key factors it is safe to carry-out in the assumption that Home Space had become a sphere of liberal-conservatism wherein policy changes were intended to be forward-thinking and vastly improving as dictated through socioeconomic theory. In noting such changes in platform — it is more so appropriate to connect the rise of Rivoche Belladar as also being the point of adaptation for the Imperial Charter, therefore adopting the concepts of a liberalized Galactic Empire.

                  • THE NEUTRAL YEARS

After having reigned for nearly a decade — the galaxy entered a state of outright and unyielding conflict. Said times were explicit with regards to its unprincipled results, planets were subsequently bombed and extensively abused by international entities in a desire to paint themselves as the victor. Emperor Rivoche Belladar maintained a streak of principled neutrality, rather than involving himself or those of the galaxy in such conflicts: he sought to maintain a position of conscientious observers. This policy worked for the early stages of war — although varying degrees of support had been garnered for both the Sith Empire and that of the Galactic Union at the time. Efforts to consolidate assistance from the Imperial Remnant suffered for both opposing nations whom had previously instigated varying forms of conflict resulting in timid relations.

When the overall conflict began encroaching upon Imperial Space — members of the Moff High Council were summoned alongside various foreign emissaries in a bid to formulate a consensus on future involvement in the war effort. While lacking the support of foreign governments, Crown-Prince Anthony Belladar decreed a state of war would exist with the Sith Order — therefore ending the previous years of intergalactic neutrality and launching a seemingly endless war.

                  • THE GREAT GALACTIC WAR

From the onset of the Galactic Republic's war with the Sith Empire, relations had remained considerably strained with the Remnant. In opposition to direct involvement alongside the political ally, members of the Imperial Navy underwent private actions against the enemy: yielding varying results — statistically with a large victory ratio. Such results are commonly connected to the involvement of Grand Admiral Raan Drekker and Fleet Admiral Zaruan Nuarudo, two of the most influential and notable commanders of the modernized Imperial Remnant.

Expansionism and imperialist overtones brought the Bastion-affiliated Empire into the southern quadrants with extensive victories over key strategical fortress worlds such as Eriadu and eventually that of modern Imperial Center. The Great Galactic War was officially instigated in 2012 ABY and was not concluded until the formal peace accords were signed in 2016 ABY. Said resulted in numerous military campaigns, extensive loss of life, and the repetition of crimes against sentient persons on a galactic scale. In a purge of the former leadership: all members of the former government have been expunged from the record.

GOVERNMENT AND POLITICS

                  • RULERS OF THE EMPIRE

After being named Emperor in 2011 ABY, His Imperial Majesty turned the battered remains of the Rasquez Imperium into the Imperial Remnant. From henceforth he introduced a democratic form of authoritarianism, wherein both the Head-of-State by right of birth and the Head-of-Government by right of election were given substantial power within the decentralized governing bodies. While the Emperor rules through his own birthright, his government's members serve fixed term lengths until being replaced by their duly elected successors, whether by popular vote or victory in electoral districts as designated per planet.

Currently the reigning monarch is Emperor Anthony Belladar, with Gabriel Ramirez serving as Prime Minister.

                  • EXECUTIVE

With the transition to a democratic autocracy, a change was formulated with the structuring of the executive body and its role in legislative proceedings. Primarily composed of duly elected officials — Moffs in this circumstance — are assigned a particular portfolio (area of responsibility) to which they are intended to oversee the governmental department(s) corresponding with said area. While the Moff High Council forms the basis of the executive as the primary organ holding the government together: it is instrumental for enacting the policies suggested by His Imperial Majesty's Privy Council — an advisory body to the Crown.

Although baring some similarities to its predecessor, the Galactic Senate, the Imperial Senate strictly holds legislative power. In saying such, the Imperial Senate deals specifically with federal-level laws: whereas each planetary body may also elect and operate independent planet-level legislatures to which may only pass laws as relating to topics explicitly reserved for them by the Imperial Charter. The Imperial Senate is allowed to provide counsel in enacting new legislation, vote to impose or repeal said legislation, and have a role of oversight within state bureaucracy. In accordance with the Imperial Charter, members of the legislature have the capability to carry out amendments and constitutional changes: as well as overriding decrees if said override is accompanied by two-thirds of the legislature.

                  • JUDICIARY

The Judicial Branch of the Galactic Empire is composed of public officers appointed to preside and administer the law in a court of justice as set out by the Imperial Charter. Said articles of the charter provide for the establishment and operation of the Empire's professional judiciary. Said sections also invests exclusive lawmaking power as pertaining to Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure to the federal government, as well as giving each planet exclusive lawmaking power over the administration of justice within their respective regions.

It is the federal government (the legislature) which appoints the judges of the Supreme Court and that of the Federal Court, while planet-specific governments appoint judges of the lower courts, Magistrates, and Justices of the Peace. The Supreme Court is the highest court in the Empire, as well as the final court of appeals in the justice system: it is composed of twelve members, headed by a Chief Justice.

ECONOMY

                  • TRADE

In order to maintain a healthy, flowing economic state — the system relies on extensive interplanetary trade. While planetary-based trade can theoretically support the local economy, the higher level of interaction and exchange required by advanced societies can only be funded through interplanetary exports. As the Empire federalized all corporations as to eradicate foreign interference, the state is typically intended to maintain a large freight fleet in order to carry goods along major and/or minor hyperlanes throughout the galaxy. Although the federalization and centralization of shipping assets brought about a dramatic increase of state control it has been noted to have held very little effect on the overall economy, with virtual non-existence of inflation.

                  • ROLE OF DROIDS

The ever increasing dynamic of the overall galactic economy requires an extensive workforce. As a result of the need, droids have become a key integral part of the economy and are programmed for a number of varying uses, including construction, excavation, repair, piloting, maintenance, mining, and other labour. Noted by most workforces is that the droids are capable of working within otherwise inaccessible and/or dangerous environments that most sentient species could not. And while most might consider it a negative, droids are able to provide services that would otherwise result for services and/or other requirements that biological sentient's would require. As to curb any substantial counter-argument regarding the use of technology in such a way, sentient-beings are employed in other dynamics in order to still maintain their personal revenue streams.

                  • PLANET SPECIALIZATION

Competition in the galaxy varies in regards to exports and imports, as a result of such competition: most planets choose to focus on their economic industry at a planetary level. An example would be those worlds with valuable natural resources focusing primarily on its export, whereas other less fortunate systems would work to achieve success through development of planet-scale economies. On said planets to which choose such a focus: the planetary surfaces are typically devoted to grain fields, engineering facilities, or mineral mining — each exhibiting different effects on planetary climates. Typical back-water worlds view non-specialization as an ideal first-rate system, therefore providing themselves as ideal perpetual customers for other systems with substantial, preexisting export industries.

SOCIETY AND CULTURE

                  • ARTS AND MEDIA

Primarily focused around the concept of cultural expression, art and media within the Empire is an instrument of encouragement for intertwining ones culture with the New Order ideology. In a liberalized bid to ensure that each realm of the Emperor maintains its originality, artistic culture is extremely undeterred by social constructs. Rather it is the intention of the New Order to utilize each artistic medium in order to glorify and peak the interests of those around the galaxy in a bid for widespread feelings of inclusion and togetherness: the primary concepts of the Imperial Charter.

While state-sponsored media outlets control the flow of news material, a secondary medium is the private-owned entities to which follow artistic representations of varying planetary bodies. The greater public ministry view it as a healthy propaganda tool, one to which empowers the people with key concepts of unbending loyalty and a thirst for structure. Holofilms and dramatic representations are key tools in an effort to portray the strong militaristic overtones with a degree of pomp and openness.

                  • INDIVIDUALISM

Citizens of the Empire are typically tolerant, polite, and extremely community-oriented. While their most basic traits are very individualistic in cultural ideology, they are quite expressive in their emphasis on the individual persons responsibility to the overall community. It is said concept that is often seeing as providing balance and establishing a good quality of life for both oneself and their fellows. Typically their ideology revolves around relatively equal power sharing and discouraging attention to status differences and/or ranking within the societal hierarchy.

                  • REGIONALISM

Most citizens have a strong allegiance specifically to their particular planet or system. It is this sense of regionalism to which empowers the people, as rather than collectively seeking to be thoroughly one and the same, they find strength in the varying cultural identity that exists particular within their area. It is the overall expectation of all citizens to find comfort within themselves and their lifestyle, regardless of what cultural pursuits they hold. When addressing such regionalism — one must be fully aware that while they distinctly identify with their systems, such regions are content with the concepts of the New Order and only vary in their cultural perception of its interpretation.

                  • MULTILINGUALISM

A multitude of languages are spoken in the Empire. While Imperial Basic holds the only title as the official language as codified in law, the galaxy-at-large is home to several hundred thousand different dialects, and in accordance with constitutional provisions set out: each language within the Emperor's realm is respected in a court of law. In order to better reflect the diversity of the New Order, multilingualism has reached an all-time high, with the availability of services in different tongues having reached one of the largest growths in recent times.

MILITARY

                  • ROLE

Arguably one of the largest military forces in the galaxy, consisting predominately of the Imperial Army and the Imperial Navy, the military is responsible for carrying out operations throughout the galaxy. Responsibilities vary from maintaining public order on member worlds to providing assistance in the event of disasters and/or accidents. Since the New Order as interpreted by Rivoche Belladar established the military as instruments of war, their primary intention has been the staunch protection of the state. In accordance with the legal doctrine which defines the Galactic Empire, the military is subordinate to the democratic institution, and therefore upholds the moral principles of the Imperial Charter.

Currently the military is composed of a multitude of species, varying in sexes, and outstandingly efficient in their capabilities.

                  • THE IMPERIAL NAVY

Service, Fealty, Fidelity is their motto, it guides all dealings undertaken by the Imperial Navy. It is the intention of this branch to ensure dominance of known space. Imperialization has transformed the former independent navies of the galaxy into a true fighting force. Like all other branches, the navy is only as strong as those who where the uniform. Those in the service are united in their service by a unique military mantra: one to which has survived over two thousand years, and remains dominant in traditional practices.

                  • THE IMPERIAL ARMY

The larger of the three branches, a soldier of the Imperial Army is certainly no ragged recruit from a planetary militia: they are the foremost defenders of the Galactic Empire. Their tactic is sheer numerical superiority, with an intensified training regimen, each soldier undergoes a severe education based upon the concepts of discipline, selflessness, and obedience.

                  • STORMTROOPER CORPS

A Stormtrooper is a select warrior. They cannot be bribed or blackmailed. They are unswerving in loyalty and unflinching in the dispensation of justice. They are victorious because of their training, their uniformity, and their ability to bring overwhelming firepower to bare against an enemy. These men and women have pledged their lives for their Emperor and their Empire.

ASTROGRAPHY

                  • HISTORIC

At its peak, the Rasquez Imperium stretched across the galaxy, centered around its crown-jewel of Katarr in the Mid Rim. Precipitating dissolution and degradation, the nation dropped to a handful of backwater sectors in the far northern quadrants from the galactic disk. It was here that His Imperial Majesty Rivoche Belladar orchestrated and maintained a simplistic, neutral political entity with counsel from Grand Admiral Raan Drekker, Fleet Admiral Ethan Ramirez, and eventually then-Grand Admiral Anthony Belladar.

                  • CURRENTLY

The government is predominantly centralized around the fortified capital of Imperial Center with outlier regions and systems under the jurisdiction and administration of the Pantoran Federation and Nadaria Imperium. In a bid to purge the cancerous leadership preexisting within the Galactic Empire, the Emperor conducted Operation Homecoming and reestablished control over the northern quadrants, particularly those still loyal to the Bastion system.
