Flags flew anywhere and everywhere in the heart of the nation; after the massive parade that went through the streets, red and blue colored confetti was everywhere. The people themselves were enthralled by patriotic and nationalistic rhetoric coming from their new President in his very first address to the nation. Nowhere was this patriotism more evident than in the Palace District, in which one could not look without seeing the three national colors on a building. Even on the mighty Imperial Palace, a usually pure, marble, testament to the glory of the Urcean people, was adorned with flags. Security in the area was multiplied one hundred-fold; for tonight, the President's Inauguration Ball, which would host dignitaries of most of Ixnay's nations, would top-off the events of the day.

In order to provide proper security, the National Army was deployed to the nearest airport, in order to maintain the security and safety of the foreigners.

The Palace itself, too, was heavily secured. The series of massive rooms in which the ball would be held, all of which had windows with a view of the grand Urce river, were all prepared for the event. The room in which the literal feast would occur seemed like an endless row of tables, all of which had a glass of champagne ready aside a pristine set of silverware and the finest china in the nation. At the head of the room, on a grand dais of gold and silver, sat the new President, Constantine Nero, flanked on one side by former President Nero and on the other Chancellor Spano.

The ball was ready to begin. Most of the prominent Urceans invited to the ball had already arrived. All that remained was for the foreign representatives to arrive.
