Dario Cueto has issued this official statement in regards to the contracts of many Lucha Underground talents who have not been seen in a while:

Quote:

"I knew that the level of violence in The Temple wasn't going to be for everyone. Only the best of the best can hope to stand a chance in my Lucha Underground and well... after contract negotiations broke down I have to announce that we have released a large handful of luchadors and luchadoras this evening.

Some of them simply couldn't pick up the wins they wanted. Some of them wanted to just talk to the crowd once to get their stock up and never be seen again. But honestly, I don't care about any of that. I only want the best in my Temple and if you can't handle the pressure you never should have come in to begin with.

I'm going to enjoy this bottle of whiskey tonight because now I know that the talent I have left is truly the future of Lucha Underground."

A representative of Dario Cueto and Triple H contacted the Lucha Underground Network website to confirm just which talents had their contracts terminated. Some of the superstars on this list never formally debuted on Lucha Underground television due to contract disputes with other companies.

Effective Immediately the following Luchadors and Managers are no longer under contract with Lucha Underground:

Adam Cole
Aleister Black
Alexa Bliss
Baron Corbin
Heath Slater
Kassius Ohno
Nick Aldis
Nikki Cross
Rikishi
Wade Barrett
Ivelisse
Seth Rollins
Kevin Owens
Emma
Dana Brooke
Finn Balor

The talents were told that the door was open to return to Lucha Underground in the future but for now they are wished the best of luck in their future endeavors.
