Feel free to add on to the list!

(in no particular order)

Former president Gerald Ford's death at the age of 93!

The execution of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein!

(I can't believe 2 of the biggest news stories of the year came in the last week of December!)

Democrats winning big in the November midterm elections.

The Mark Foley page sex scandal.

The resignation of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

The killing of Al Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi in June.

The formation of the permanent Iraqi government.

The Israel-Hezbollah Summer war.

The shocking death of the Croc Hunter Steve Irwin.
We can’t both become the same pawn
That’s made to fall
Oil that tastes like
Blood steals the summer scent
From me to you
You’re stabbing me through you
You’re stabbing you through him
And betting most of
This world
We’ll add enough of the world

The crazed lunatic who admitted he was the killer of JonBenet Ramsay, but then it turned out he wasn't the killer (after the DNA tests, and such).

I remember that being a media circus. Too bad the case still remains unsolved. :shakehead:
