Yesterday, I got off a public jeepnney (refurbished WWII-era jeeps with longer chassis and decorated body) only to notice my right pocket slashed open and my :scared: cellphone taken. I couldn't remember how or where it happened, sowe couldn't go to the police. Anyone had something bad happen to them? Or heard stories obout others? |

As yet I that hasn't ever happened to me, and I hope it never does. The only time I know of that anwone in my family has been pickpocketed was about 7 years ago when my sister was in Hawaii and had her money stolen without even noticing. |

A moose bit my sister once...

I had somebody steal my cd player once at school several years ago, and most recently, my car was keyed (for no apparent reason at all.) when I was at work. My store is right across from a high school, and we think that there's a group of kids that does it, because several other workers have had the same thing happen, but the police don't ever investigate it. I made a report, and they were like, "Yeah, we'll look into it," and I never heard a thing back from them, and this was in November. I haven't gotten a quote as to how much it'll cost to get a touch up job, but my dad says it'll cost anywhere from $500-1000. The hood and spoiler need complete repaints, because the hood's scratch is down to bare metal. And well, the spolier's plastic, so I don't have to worry about that rusting, but that scratch is uglier. |

That's awful, Dan. It's bad enough when you do something accidental to your car, such as a small fender bender or something small, but when someone causes damage to your car purposely for no reason, that's dispicable. And the sad thing is, they keep getting away with it and causing more damage to other people's possession. I hope someday they get what they deserve. As for me, I can't really recall an incident where one of my possessions or money were stolen. I do remember back in high school someone stealing a bunch of candy bars from my locker that I planned on selling for a fundraiser. My locker had a glitch in that anyone could lift the door handle up and open it a certain way, despite having a combination on it. Yes, it was nice to have when I was running late for something, but as you can see, it didn't always have its advantages. :o |
