Nice Find Man! It's nice to finally get a realistic and more clear picture as to when the season will finally start airing. I was already speculating that September was when it would start up anyway, but hearing the news that this DVD would be available by October 30th strengthens this belief of mine even more. ;D

I really dig the cover art too! Aang looks better with some hair, and Katara looks even more hot than before. Now our long suffering will be just a few short months! :hooray:

Yes, is (quite a find).

Was surprised by the news. Already planning the next Book's DVDs, before it's even started.

Come to think of it though, this could also be a bad move in the long run. By finding out the titles of these episodes, the fans already have a slight glimpse of what might be happening in the first few episodes. Now I just hope this won't be too much of a spoiler for the next little while.

Well, maybe for some stuff. But, of course, the show has thrown some surprises in at various times through the 2 Books aired so far. So can at least figure on a similar routine with Book 3.

Proud to be an Avatard
As I said yesterday..its about time we hear something new and positive about Avatar. Alot of people have been losing interest in it on other forums, and I think this may hurt it in the long run. :(

At this very moment I would agree with you, but I'll bet the moment the third season starts airing again, every avatar forum will catch on fire. I think it's popularity is just dormant right now due to it being 7 months since the last new episode was aired.

The DVD cover looks SWEET! Aang and Katara look great with their new looks! This is the first real glimpse we've gotten of anything regarding season 3 and I can't wait for it to begin. It's gotta start airing in September, especially if the DVD is planned to be released in October.

The TV Shows On DVD news - linked in my original post - gave that it's the first 5 (like how Book 2 was done). And the report also lists the titles.

TVshowsonDVD has posted on its site the info of Book 3 Fire Volume 2, here are my theories on these episodes….

306-“The Avatar and the Firelord”
The prelude episode that will self center on Avatar Roku and Fire Lord Sozin. Several questions about these two characters will be answered.

307-“The Runaway”
Toph tries to escape from a fire nation village after causing some trouble while she’s away from the GAang.

308-“The Puppetmaster”
The Water Tribe villain is introduced here, who has a waterbending technique to severely stun human opponents by bending water within them. This is the same technique Katara learns to use.

309-“Nightmares and Daydreams”
More vital details of Aang and Zuko’s youthful experiences will be revealed, including another link between the two.

310-“Day of the Black Sun”
The GAang, Water Tribe and Earth Kingdom allies initiate the obvious long awaited Fire Nation invasion on behalf of the solar eclipse. Something has to go wrong as the Fire Nation initiates its backup plan involving the hot air balloon (from “The Northern Air Temple”). This concludes in episode 311, it’s a surprise attack that will not only foil the allied invasion, but will ensure that Aang won’t lay a finger on Ozai anytime soon.

For good measure, I thought I'd add the newly revealed cover art for volume 2 as well:

Judging by the fact that Aang has his head shaved again and that Katara is no longer wearing her hot looking fire nation gear, :( I guess the cat will be out of the bag by then that the avatar was not killed like everyone thought.

Yeah, I've noticed in the season three trailer that Aang has his head shaved again, so I am sure his new look won't last very long. It's just a matter of when word gets out that the Avatar is alive.

It appears to me that Toph goes back to the colors of the Earth Kingdom as well. The only one that looks different is Sokka.

Along with "Day of Black Sun" Pt. 2, this Volume is to also have: "The Western Air Temple", "The Firebending Masters" and "The Boiling Rock" Pt. 1 & 2 (which currently are not-yet-aired in the US).

This is encouraging news! ;D Not only do we know now the names of the eps that follow the firebending masters, but it suggests that these episodes will likely start airing again around march or april. That is still a ways off, but it's a lot shorter of a time to wait than for season 3 to start at all.
