Election Day 2012!

Election day is just a few short days away now. I'm sick of the negative ads, the phone calls, and the flyers that I get mailed each and every day. I don't have to tell you that I can't wait for election day to be over, and I'm sure others agree with me. Here in Michigan, we have more proposals than ever to vote for, in addition to the typical political races. Probably Monday night, I'll go over everything really good so I am prepared to vote on Tuesday. Sounds like the presidential election could very well be close yet again!

I already sent my vote in the mail as an absentee but I do agree that I want this to be over with, and I'm even someone that follows politics pretty closely these days too! :P

One thing I know is that this election will definitely affect our future in some ways, but we also need to be mindful that no matter who ends up winning (and at this point I really don't know who it will be; if you do claim to know then you're either a fortune teller or a partisan hack that's just saying that as one of the candidate's cheerleaders  ), the problems that we face cannot be solved by the people we elect, but rather influenced. It is "We the People" of this country that have to come together if we hope to undo these problems and learn to compromise in the middle. No matter who ends up winning this Tuesday, we need to just shake hands on what the result will be and move on from there.
