As some of you may know, I am 19, and I’m not in college. I am in my school’s work training program to hold me over until I move to North Carolina. I have been having problems with the program, which is why I am suffering depression. Reasons: 1. Unable to go to the college program. 2. No girls for me. 3. Lack of freedom. 4. Academics not relating to my interest or future job 5. My decision to go to AB Tech in Asheville has been put on hold until I live there. I need help, because I feel that the lack of key students is the cause. I know my home district does not have an extension to 21. |

Okay, I've looked at this. The jobs I desire do not require college, which is a signal I'm trying to save money and myself from the stress. But I regretted the program because it was not represented well. The teacher was nice, but she couldn't save the program. Most of the week I was rotting in the room. What's best for me is currently receiving little detail. There were talks of having me go to the college program part-time, but the executives never answered the phone. Overall, the program was a disaster. I had some good things to say about it, but I deserved better. |

Although nobody else has responded to your thread, I hope as you are expressing your thoughts on the forum that it's proving to be a great way of venting and releasing feelings you may have bottled up. Good luck to you. |

Thanks. I now live in NC. My new school is great, and it's run better than that private school that ran for me from 2009-2016. |

Also I have concluded that AB Tech doesn't have a disability program let alone services. And they are not even private. I was told they did offer a program, but financial issues got it removed. Guess my only hope is Blue Ridge, even though it's 30 miles away (at least it's not an hour or so) from my house. |

And I found out that Blue Ridge has no program either. Guess the website was right the whole time. |
