The following text are the rules of AXW.

A standard match may be won in the following ways:

Pinfall: You must have your opponent in a supine position with their shoulders against the mat, with you covering them in any way deemed appropriate by the referee of the match. A successful pin occurs when the referee slaps their hand to the mat three consecutive times. No part of you or your opponent may be on or under the ropes during a pin, the referee will stop the pin should they see it.

Submission: You must have your opponent locked into any legal submission hold as deemed appropriate by the referee of the match. A successful submission occurs when your opponent slaps their hand to the mat or to your person at least three consecutive times, or by verbally announcing their submission to the referee.

Disqualification: A disqualification may occur in the following ways:
-Not breaking a submission while you or your opponent is touching a ring rope by the referee's count of five.
-Purposely attacking your opponent in the genitals while in sight of the referee.
-Attacking your opponent with any outside object deemed inappropriate by the referee.
-Attacking the referee.
-Outside interference. (Outside interference may also result in a no contest, where the match is disregarded completely)

Count Out: A count out occurs when a participant of the match is outside of the ring and does not make it back into the ring by the referee's count of twenty. Should a participant leave to the backstage area, that will be ruled as an automatic count-out, and the referee can end the match without counting to twenty. The referee may also deem this is as a forfeit.

Forfeit: Your opponent may verbally announce to the referee that they forfeit the match at any time. As stated, an automatic count out can be deemed as a forfeit by the referee. A verbal forfeit has only happened once in AXW history.

Referee Stoppage: If the referee deems your opponent unfit to continue, they will end the match in your favor. Referee stoppage has only happened once in AXW history.

The referee has the ability to allow leeway to the rules when they deem necessary.

Tag Team Rules:

All previous rules apply unless stated otherwise.

The votes have been tabulated, and here's who you voted for the 2016 AXW Awards, starting with Male Wrestler of the Year.

Perhaps not as hated as he thinks he is, "Mr. Most Hated" picked up Best Debut of the Year in 2015 and in one year becomes Male Wrestler of the Year. Two reigns as AXW Light Heavyweight Champion for a combined 266 days, longer than any previous holders of the title, is enough to make Danny Hall AXW's Male Wrestler of the Year for 2016.

Janet Hurricane has had an incredible 2016, starting with her wars with Zoey Mathews-Mitchell to her rise as a two time AXW Women's Champion, the seemingly unstoppable Queen of the Ravenous Generation leaves 2016 as AXW's Female Competitor of the Year.

Janet's dominant year also sees her pick up the 2016 Overall Competitor of the Year award.

Though no longer with us, the incredible tandem of Ryan Starr and Austin Graves win the 2016 Tag Team of the Year Award, despite breaking up halfway through the year. With a 112 day Tag Team Title reign and an incredible amount of talent, War Horse are your Tag Team of the Year.

A good chunk of 2016 saw Steve Corman as AXW Champion.
