Another dangerous earthquake in Yunnan, China – houses collapsed and 2 people seriously injured. Last update: June 20, 2011 at 3pm Earthquake summary : Yunnan province, China was again hit by a moderate shallow earthquake during late afternoon (local time). So far nobody was killed in this earthquake. 4 other people were slightly injured. UPDATE 15:14UTC : A total of 13 Fire Brigade trucks have been send to the disaster area. UPDATE 15:07 UTC : There were NO power outages and telecommunications are working normal UPDATE 14:40 UTC : Thick fog is making the relief and rescue work very difficult and dangerous. UPDATE 14:36 UTC : The local authorities have send a shipment of 200 tents, 200 quilts, 200 coats and other emergency relief supplies to the earthquake area. UPDATE 13:42 UTC : It is currently dark in China which will make rescue and relief actions a lot more difficult. UPDATE 13:39 UTC : In addition to the 13:16 update, reports are also confirming the collapse of a number of houses in the rural areas near the epicenter. UPDATE 13:16 UTC : Situation at the update time : 4 slight injuries – 2 in Mangbang, and 2 in North. Tiles fell from roofs and many cracks in houses in many locations. The team commander gave the order for a 34-man on-site emergency response team to carry emergency equipment and supplies to the epicenter area. UPDATE 12:02 UTC : Chinese emergency teams have been send to the epicenter area. Chinese earthquake response is among the best in the world. UPDATE 12:02 UTC : As you can see on the 3D Google Earth map the closest villages / towns at risk are : Gajiancao, Pingtian and Laopo Ji.
