HI IWO Jessie how are you.... Summer is awol at the moment. Do you believe the heatwave prediction for two weeks time - or is it a ploy to keep us all optimistic??????????? |

Its a ploy Im afraid! They think we will all go mad and start killing each other shortly, so every week they tell us that in 2 weeks we will get a heatwave (that never happens) just to keep us hanging in there. So back to the weather currently 14.3c , cloudy but hey guess what it has stopped raining

16.1 and cold here - if that is not a contradiction! Have had plenty of rain and sunshine today - a typically irish summer's day lol. I go with that theory about going mad and killing each other. Enjoy what you can of it see - see you over the road!!! |

Missed IWO when away on holidays and looks like the forum has got a little slow recently - not enough weather events for you all hey For what it's worth it was a lovely day in Ashford today with only the odd shower - temp up to 20.8°c. Looking at rainfall radar some heavy stuff heading my way now! |

Looking at Will it Rain Today Ashford should be flooded by now but its dry??? Hate to admit it but checked Met Eireann's radar and interestingly the rain seems to be hitting the Wicklow Mountains and then disappearing only to reform out in the Irish Sea - leaving Ashford and the coastal strip of East Wicklow dry. What have I learnt? If Met Eireann did a zoomable radar it might we worth a look?
