Warnings Gale Warning Westerly winds, gradually veering northwesterly, will increase to gale force at times later tonight and for a time Friday on coasts from Erris Head to Fair Head to Howth Head and on the Irish Sea north of Anglesey. Issued at 17:30 on 26-Jan-2012 Small Craft Warning Westerly winds will reach force 6 or higher tonight on all coasts of Ireland. Issued at 17:30 on 26-Jan-2012 Ice Warning Northern Ireland Icy stretches are expected to form on untreated surfaces, especially in places affected by showers. The showers will fall as snow above about 250 metres, but there may be temporary slush deposits to lower levels. The public should be aware of possible travel disruption. |
