I leave in a few days, then I won't be back until the 8th. Of course, then I get to come home and paint and clean and unpack boxes... |

Got back today. It was soooo much fun. We stayed here at the paramount. And Phantom was AWESOME!!!! Orbitz gave us seats in the orchestra section for $75 (usually $115). There was fire and the chandelier stunt was really cool. They even had bursts of flame and the sets were awesome. You really felt like you were at the theater house/underground lake/whereever. The Color Purple wasn't as good, not even close to something webber or rodgers and hammerstein or gilbert and sullivan could have come up with, but it was still good. The crowd was more like what you'd find at a movie theater, a cell phone even went off. And I think that people who pop their gum throughout an entire broadway performance should be dragged out into the street and shot, or at least roughed up... But we took a fun bus tour where you get off and come back on whenever and went shopping in china town and messed around the U.N. building a bit and saw some of the exhibits in the....ummm....well dang, I can't remember the name of it, but there was a really cool egypt presentation at the museum. And of course there was pretzels and hot dogs and being hassled by street vendors and almost being hit by cars as you cross the street. Wish we could find the cameras though...no pics And I hope your sis enjoys her honeymoon! |

Can you believe they left me here? With some person I've never even met before no less. Some old woman whose house smelled kinda funky... |
