Light cardio after lifting. I trained for a good week or so for a marathon, so I jogged like 2/3 miles a day. That and I only had high carbs before workout. Oh, yogurt with granola gets you full for a long time so I snacked on that as well. It's pretty easy when you get the hang of it. c:

What is the definition of light cardio?
I mean, at what speed on the running machine? 10.0? And how long do you run?
Also, do you run with any % lift?

To be honest, I don't use the treadmills. I like to run through town or near the canal where everyone else jogs.
It's not as boring, more motivation, and easier on my feet.
But light cardio is basically walking and jogging. Not so much exhibition running.
But when I do use a treadmill, I go on 6.0 for a mile and incline 50%.
I have not ran in like 2 weeks though. I need to jump on it again.

I went to a gymstore today and the Personal Trainer there told me that if you want to burn fat after a work out, you should eat something (before running) with amino acids and carbohydrates (ricecakes are very rich in carbohydrates) because those will protect your muscles. The running will then only burn your bodyfat.

That's pretty smart :o
I always had this idea that running with food in the tummy was bad.
I wanna try that :3

He also told me another technique (that I've also heard many other people say):
Wake up early, do not eat anything and and go out and jog. It is supposed to be very effective.

I do not know why this is true, but maybe your body takes energi from your body fat when the stomache is empty?

As for amino acid source, he recommended me this:

Stacker 2 Liquid Amino

It lasts a very long time since you only take a small amount each time (one spoon or just use the bottle cap)

Don't know what you're asking :P
Anyways, I've been trying this for a week now and I feel a bit thinner on the stomache area (not the early run, but the eating before running on the machine).

Have you heard about the 4x4-method? Supposedly it's a very good way to loose weight and burn fat.
You can do it on a running maching with 5% or more hill.

- Warm up (6-10 minutes)
- Run for 4 minutes with high intensity
- Jog slowly for 3 minutes
- Run for 4 minutes with high intensity
- Jog slowly for 3 minutes
- Run for 4 minutes with high intensity
- Jog slowly for 3 minutes
- Run for 4 minutes with high intensity
- Cool down with slow jogging for 6 minutes

You should also increase intensity for each time you do this method.

They also said that you should eat and drink 1-2 hours before working out.
During workout, you should drink at least 1/2 liters with water.
After workout, you should eat carbohydrates, protein and drink water withing 30 minutes.

He asked me if I saw the movie 300 - all the actors in that movie used Crossfit workouts :D
