Abel, how many times a week do you work out and how long each time? And how many times a week is recommened? As for me, I'm currently working out only 2 times a week. Maybe 3 when I have time, but I don't have time more than that. I spend about 2 hours each time (45 minutes for cardio). Edited by Genetic God, Feb 11 2012, 07:41 PM.

well seeing as i have a lot of time on my hands, i workout 5 days a week, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours a day. 4 days on, 1 day off, 2 days on, 1 day off. o: What's recommended is 2 days on, one day off, as most people day. But I like going on long durations, it makes the rest day that much more fulfilling. and then 2 days of intensity with another good rest helps a bunch. Just figure out the days you can push your body the most, when rest is convenient, and always listen to your body. c:

God damn it, GG. You've gone a long ways since the days of auditioning for Beauty & the Geek on Youtube. So have I... only in the opposite direction as you guys. I've stopped exercising, and now look like a walking stick with a pot belly. |

What's your Facebook?? As long as you have a girlfriend, it doesn't matter if you have muscles or not. But if she breaks up with you, you're doomed XD Getting big arms is not the problem, getting big arms with hard muscles is. Edited by Genetic God, Feb 13 2012, 08:48 PM.

Abel: Skim milk or Whole milk? Skim milk = lots of proteins and no fat, hard to grow muscles. Whole milk = lots of proteins and fats, easier to grow muscles So...? I want to be bigger, but not in fat... |

I say 1% to 2%, cause your body needs the fat to absorb the vitamins and essentials in milk. Calcium in joint with Vitamin D help prevent the production of cortisol, which means a smaller tummy. |

Believe it or not, skim milk has more protein in it than whole milk. |

Some skim milk has the same amount of value - I just checked it ;) Hmmm...don't we get enough fat from chicken skin? Btw, what's so special about whey protein? Edited by Genetic God, Feb 14 2012, 08:41 PM.

Depends on how to eat your chicken. Nowadays, red meat is starting to become more healthier than white meat, now that our farmers are starting to raise their cattle more organic and ethical. When you're getting big, you're gonna need a lot of carbs, cycle them to your benefit and eat good fats so your body can metabolize better as well as restore and strengthen. The thing with whey is that it's a fast absorbing, natural protein. Whey is naturally in milk, actually. Some prefer is over soy cause soy causes your body to produce more estrogen, which isnt good for body builders or men in general. But whey doesn't do that, it's a very good supplement. c: |

No, haven't finished... Pretty much just drifting in life. It totally sucks too, since I don't think I'm below average in intelligence or anything. I'm by no means a science wizard like you, but I grasp materials adequately. The pressure and anxiety of the social/corporate world totally bums me out. On the bright side, I've discovered the wonders of music so I've been practicing my voice, ears, and guitar to try and get in a music program. It's tough. |

Music huh? Maybe we can expect to see you on American Idol/The Voice/America's Got Talent soon ?Take some time and figure out what you want to do with your life. Money vs happiness. It's very important to think positive (actually, you should always think like this) even if everything around you is like hell and about to break loose. Just be patient - sometime in your lifepath, a helping hand will come along. It happened to me. Network plays an essential role here, you gotta have contacts. Create an account on LinkedIn. Facebook is useful too, even though it's more like a playground - but you still can create useful networks there. No education? No problem, work as nurse at a hospital and make $30.000-40.000 a year. A girl that I used to date has done this. Edited by Genetic God, Feb 15 2012, 04:48 PM.

Abel: What fruits and nuts have high content of protein...? Do you have any reliable source? Google shows me a lot of inconsistent knowledge, but they seems to mention the following a lot: - almond - brazil nuts - passionfruit - pomegranate - guavas - avokado |
