List your favorite cold drinks here! Cafe sua da ![]() ![]()
It doesn't look too good in the picture, but IT IS once you mix it and it turns into a brownish color! Refreshing! I think the unique taste comes from the milk :superhappy: Also, the icecubes goes into the drink to make it stay cold. Three Bean Drink ![]() ![]()
Maybe more like a dessert than drink... but still good :iconheart: |

That sweetened condensed milk that comes in a can isn't half bad even when just mixing it with plain old hot water. |

My best friend was from Guyana. They put milk in their tea. Maybe you know him, his name was Timmy. He was a foreigner too. |

I've never even heard of this before (cafe sua da), but it sounds and looks so good! I might try making one today. I'm a disaster in the kitchen unless I see for myself how to do something though. LOL Italian soda is what I make the most at the house. I start with a simple syrup and pour two ounces of it into a glass. Then I add about 3/4 cups of cream. On top of that I add club soda followed by semi-crushed ice. The drink is usually gently stirred and not mixed, but my Dad likes to mix it because he prefers the taste of the curdled cream, so it is all a matter of preference I guess. =P Anyways, it is really good!! The syrup can be any flavor (or combination of syrups/flavors) and to make it I usually use... 2 cups sugar 1 cup water 1 pint of fruit ingredient The amount of fruit ingredient depends on the fruit being used, but 1/2 pint is generally the measurement that I go by for small fruits like raspberries and strawberries. This is how I make simple syrup: I put the water into a pot and bring it to a boil before adding the sugar. Once the sugar has completely dissolved (it looks clear) I turn off the stove and remove the pot from the burner. I then add the fruit and let it set in room temperature. After it has completely cooled I strain out the berries and pour the syrup into a bottle. The syrup keeps just about forever in the refrigerator. This is what they look like (without the cream): ![]() I can't find any pix of what it looks like with the cream. @_x Maybe I will make one and take a picture. |

Yeah, bubble tea is fairly popular over here among the asian public. I have nothing against the taste of it, it's just that to me bubble tea is associated with fobby asians that likes to hang with their own clique. |

What do you have against fobby Asians? =( That's a pretty funny image though. Haha Where I live in the US, Starbucks/coffeehouses are commonly associated with trendy college student types. So, when you say it that way, I mentally replace the coffee with bubble tee and the metro college kids with nerdy Asians. LOL |
