As the Business Shrink regularly says, “The truth is stranger than fiction.” It’s amazing to see the products that innovative and sometimes slightly crazy companies roll out to try and entice the affluent market. This current product is available for purchase but so far we have only found places that allow you to purchase in a minimum quantity of 12. If your truly see this product as a solution for your life, you will either need to stock up or get in the business.
Enter, the toilet for two. With divorce rates being reported in the U.S. as high as 50% of total marriages by the U.S. Census Bureau this could possibly be a solution for some of those interesting couples that need that extra touch of communication. We have come up with some interesting one-liners for this product and would love to see what you come up with too, just add it to the comments. Here’s what we have: “Love Just Isn’t Enough”, “A New Meaning For Intimacy”, “How the elite find time to love”. Are you tired of always hearing, “We never do anything together.” Now you can spend quality time with your loved one.
All jokes aside, is this really what relationships have come to? We’re sure you might think this product is completely a spoof, so we wanted to provide a link to a website that actually sells this product
here. There was also an interesting story done in 2000 that had an offshoot of this product. The story’s main point was to let people know that when they went clubbing, they wouldn’t have to use the toilet alone. It was coined as a, “twobicle.” It allowed the social clubbers to go to the restroom together and continue socializing. There was even a strong supporter that was a well-known DJ at the club. “Clubs are finally catching up with reality,” said Marc Rowlands, 26, a Manchester DJ. “Clubbers have been going to the toilet together, even sharing the same cubicle, for years, and nobody much seemed to mind.” If you’d like to read the whole story you can
here.
For those SNL (Saturday Night Live) addicts you just might remember the solution for couples that just can’t seem to get enough. For a quick laugh at a parody version of the lover’s toilet for two you can view a short clip of the SNL clip on Google Video
here.
As you can see, we have provided two examples of this creative relationship solution. The pink version seems to have some flaws with it and almost makes it’s viability questionable. However, the other version is stunningly real and available on the market.
We’d like to ask you as readers and listeners to the Business Shrink show, if you see any realistic use for this toilet. Is this just something for us all to poke fun at and have a good laugh, or might someone find this is the solution to those busy work days? It’s obvious that this won’t have an effect on the divorce rates in our world but it just may seal the deal for some couple. Regardless of who’s home this toilet ends up in, the truth is always stranger than fiction.
