It starts out as phenylethylamine, which is a naturally produced chemical in the brain, but it doesn't last long in the human body (there are also trace amounts of phenylethylamine in chocolate along with caffeine which gives you an high). The phenylethylamine in affect dumps dopamine into your system which is what makes you deliriously happy, and from there it generally goes to the release of norepinepherine to stimulate your heart rate, and make you feel like you just ran a marathon. But if you don't have the initial connection and you're not really into the girl, no phenylethylamine, no dopamine, no norepinepherine. No chemistry. |
