Guys, there are a few rules that most Internet geeks do not understand about fashion. 1. You are not dressing to please yourself. You are dressing to please the people that look at you. 2. Anime/Video Game t-shirts are cool for working out or lounging around the house. They are not cool for going to school. 3. Baggy clothes are not in style. This is not 1995. If your waistline is 32'', then wear size 32 pants. If a medium shirt fits you, don't buy an extra large. 4. Girls like guys in blazers. They make you look refined, and you can wear them in place of your overhead hoodie. 5. Wear a shirt and tie every once in a while. 6. Don't wear sweatpants out of the house (unless you're working out). 7. Don't pop your collar on your stupid polo shirts. It makes you look like an alcoholic frat boy. 8. If you like a band, wear the band shirt occasionally. Don't be the guy who always has his <insert band name here> shirt on. 9. Don't wear band shirts for popular or semi-popular bands (My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, Green Day, Metallica). They'll just make you look like you're as out of touch as the 40 year old guy who still wears his Pink Floyd shirt. 10. Be smart. Look in the mirror before you walk out of your door. That's all I'm saying. |

Very refreshing to hear a gentleman remind us all that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Unfortunately, men are put off the idea that wearing something slightly more stylish as smart, rather than merely formal by TV these days. Either neo-conservative male chauvinists of varying social standings or neo-feminine, archaeological bland-spreaders preach their functional ideals for wearing clothes. Add on those trend-suckers who turn catwalk horrors into Eurovision monstrosities and is it any wonder why the great outdoors now resembles the Big Brother house? I happen to collect stylish collar shirts, football shirts, ties and other clothes that sincerely reflect my individual personality. Clothes should be an accurate barometer of someone’s personality, character and interests – NOT the size of their wallet or their taste in labels. That should be left up to the label designers to show-off for themselves, not the public. So I pretty much agree with the above guide, though I may have put some of those points across with slightly differing words – especially the music recommendations (in principle)! |

I don't think that wearing a tie to a funeral or a reunion has to do with fashion. It's more like necessity. |

:crytears: I really want a Hellsing t-shirt <img src='http://www.comixfan.com/.../ tshirt_hellsing_bats.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'> ![]() These shirts are sexy. But the thing is that over here people either think that the only anime that there is is pokemon or digimon e.g. And if they kind of know what it is, they think it's ALL hentai! |
