Boston Stars Owner: Stephanie Jones Welcome to Boston! As you may know by this point, our city is proud of it’s baseball roots and so am I. My father and I own the team, he will focus on his other ventures, while I will be the one running the team. Our fan base are loyal and they expect us to do well each and every season. I do believe we have the team to do so, but we’ll also have to improve in some areas. If you need any help doing so, you’ll just have to knock on my door, I’ll be willing to hear you out and if it helps us on our goals, I’ll be happy to help you out. Speaking of goals, this is what I expect from our GM: 1. Play .500 baseball. Even if I think we have decent players at a couple of key positions, I do think we need to improve in other areas. While we do so, I don’t expect us to be contenders right away, but I don’t expect us to plummet down on the standings, since that would be detrimental to us turning a profit and keeping our fans happy. 2. By 2020, we need to improve in one of the positions we don’t have a decent enough player, that being the catcher position. 3. By 2023 I expect every single move to be done, so we can become the team I know we can be and reach the playoffs. If you think you got what it takes, go ahead.[/img] Edited by admin, Feb 19 2018, 05:35 PM.

![]() Hello Ms. Jones. I'm sure when my name popped up on your list of potential candidates for the position of general manager it was a bit of a shock. I'm a man who was raised in New York, and one who has bled the colors of that city through and through for most of my life. With that said, I could have tried to stick to my roots and pursued the position with the Bombers and sold sentiment as one of the reasons I should be hired for the position. But I'm not a man who wants to achieve things through fluff and warm feelings. This is a club where I know I can be successful. I love the game of baseball and I think the goals that you outlined for what you are looking for are not only achievable, I think that failing to achieve them in any way, shape or form is inexcusable. I'm a proven winner, Ms. Jones. Everything I've done in my life I've been successful at. I was a successful collegiate wrestler. I've been a champion at the top of one of the greatest wrestling companies in the world, 4 Corners Wrestling. I have a successful marriage out of a situation that most people would have said would be impossible to find success. I am not someone who accepts losing. Five hundred baseball might be reasonable for smaller market teams with less of a tie to the sport of baseball than what Boston has. But the Stars can do better than that and should expect to do better than that. Under my guidance, I guarantee you we WILL do better than that. I'm willing to take the first step and embrace this city as my second home. The rest of my family already considers this home themselves. Give me the opportunity to succeed here and I promise you I will not fail. |

Good morning, Mr. Carlson. I’m pleased to receive your message concerning our vacant position at GM. I’ve reviewed it and seen your business savvy, as well as reviewed your career as a successful wrestler. The fact that you’re also a family man, as you described yourself when talking about your marriage, is pleasing to both me and my father. This team is mostly family owned, as is my father’s business. So, we value that very highly. For us, family always comes first. That being said, Boston has a tradition of being a baseball city. Fans are really excited about this and I can sense you are too. We will continue being in contact with you, since we believe you’re a great candidate. But we also want to review other candidates as well, to make sure we’re making the best choice possible for this franchise’s future. |
