we've all had to read shitty books for school. books that in the real world we wouldnt have read, but what is the first book that really grabbed your attention? (if you cant tell, i am a reader... all thanks to the 50 minute train trip i endure twice a day). The first book i really enjoyed was JURASSIC PARK. i think i was about 15 or so when i read it. ive read it a few times, and will one day read it again. it has alot more info than the movies (which are also great!). usless bit of information: the intro to the 2nd movie where the girl finds the little dino on the beach... thats the intro to the novel. |

Im a big fan of Robert Ludlum. I have read a crapload of his novels and they are the only books that I find are cant-put-down (except for the Harry Potter books). |

Would you believe my answer to this question is also Jurassic Park? The book shits all over the move from a great height, as cliche as that sounds. There's just so much more to it. |

Oo, to hard to single anything out, but I will say the dark tower series by Stephen ling, I enjoy the bulk of his work, other favourites are peter straub, james Herbert, dean koontz and several others whose names escape me |

I was always an avid reader, but the first books I REALLY got into where the "tripod" series when we read them in primary school - well, we read the first, and I just kept reading the other books, used to get them from the library. First "grown up" series was LOTR - seems I am to Panther what Hiss is to Scott. First author I got fanboy about was Gemmell - I recommend everyone read Legend. Or else. |

David Eddings has made a couple of great series which I have read a few times. The Dune series was good although I got bored after the 3rd one I think. Some of the Star Wars books which happen after the Return of the Jedi are good as well. |
