A lot of science fiction and horror fans huh. Animal farm sure was a treat to read. Some of the first books I ever got into were Lovecraft's "At the mountains of madness" and "The call of Cthulhu. The horror and science fiction phase gave way to my love of the Beat generation and Gonzo journalism. The book that made me appreciate reading was "On the road" closely followed by "The Electric Kool aid acid test". The biggest bitch of a book I've ever had the pleasure of reading was "Moby Dick". The shortest novel that packs the biggest punch would have to be "The old man and the sea" What a freaking knockout of a book!

If any of you are looking for sometihng quirky to read, checkout Howard Waldrop. It might just light your fire, science fiction unlike anything you've read before. =D

Oi Fish, I remember reading the Secret diary when I was in school. It was an awesome read too.

I'm a big fan of the sword of truth series by Terry Goodkind.

read the first years back now, and have been buying them day of release ever since.

First book is called Wizards First Rule, from memory... series is about 10 books long.
good sword'n'sorcery stuff...
Holy awesomeness... they're making the books into a TV series!!!!!!!

rather excited right now..

they better not fuck it up :fist:
But the author seems pretty heavily involved...

is it november yet???
