I've got the Warhammer Starter box set but I haven't played it.

Also got the Warhammer Quest Box, I played that a few times which wasn't too bad. Problem is I never ended up painting many of the miniatures. White Dwarf mag made painting them look easy but it was bloody frustrating for me.

I played a lil Warhammer 40k, bought a starter for WHFB however havent got into it yet. I picked up the rules for Flames of War but its a bit pricey.

Lately I have been really digging Warmahine by Privateer Press. Great models (very steampunk with magic) and mechs

i found most of the actual painting in white dwarf a bit average, except for the actual competetion paintings and some of the private owners armys. but yer some of the white dwarf blokes are ducking shit

ducking shit

ducking shit?

anyway, i'll have to take some snaps of my 40K shit, i got a 8000 point darkangel army and a 9000 point cadian army (all lead) so i got heaps of models, take me forever to paint so about 70% are just undercoated, i didnt paint my deathwing terminators the usual dark angel white, i went with the really dark and dirty green look, alot of my sniper scouts are in full camo and i used milli-put to make some gilli suits for them.

Branden, nice paintjobs on the models - but where you pissed when you took the photos?? :P

I used to paint minitures, never played much cause no one I knew was into wargamming. Wish I had some pics, if I say so myself I was pretty good.

about a little guy that lives in a blue world
and all day and all night and everything he sees
is just blue like him inside and outside
blue his house with a blue little window
and a blue corvette
and everything is blue for him and hisself
and everybody around
cos he ain't got nobody to listen to

yeah, scotty would probably know but I think you need to use a macro setting or something.

do you use acrylics or oils? Looks like acrylics, no? I like the highlighting on the dude in the first pic.

yeah, id say a macro setting and use the auto focus.... most newer cameras will re-adjust focus when you half press the shutter :)
