OK, here's my conundrum, for a while now i've been looking for a book series(of 3 i think) which i got only partially through reading, but the thing is i cant remember the name or the name of the series, i can only remember vaguely little bits of the story.

From what i (think) i can remember there was a prince that was in line to the thrown but someone tried to kill him, he was struck with a kind of disease, which couldn't be healed through normal or magic means. His mother managed to get him away to her sister but was followed by the people that tried to kill him, since they couldnt save him, they transferred his mind and sould into the body of a 16 y/o girl. It not only saved his life but hid him from his enemies.

This bit i think though will tell you if you know the book im talking about (oh some stage in this little bit there also something to do with a person called "mother"(not his/her mother though), he/she stayed with her aunt and learnt magic, but found out she practiced "dark arts"(demon summoning or some shit) thats where he fonds out about mother(who teaches her more stuff) but the aunt found out and used some magical contraption which is placed in the mouth, a glass device of sorts whch forces you to scream, but the more you scream it makes you screm louder and more high pictched, which high enough begins to splinter and then shatter in th mouth(i think mother helped him/her out of it somehow???)

I do have more but it would be getting into the second book.

Any ideas WHATSOEVER, i only need something to jog the memory, but only got half way though the second book, and i really want to finish reading it

yes i am sure, it is actually a very interesting read. Though if you want weirder, at the start of the second book her "mentor" that helps her train (magic) along her "adventure", gets trapped inside the mind of a demon, which lets the second book about getting the mentor back and avoiding her enemies while she does it. There is also a bit about a group of dragons that stay hidden but not meant to interfere, but one of them decides to let off a little bit of information to help the main char along the story.

Trust me when i say it is one majorly twisted and fucked upside down novel but it is a brillant read.

Sounds like an interesting book. I wonder how they dealt with the fact that they took a 16 y/o girls life to save the main character in the story.

If you find out what the book's called, post it up. Sounds interesting.

p.s. What's "physco babble"? phonetically that'd be "fisco bab-bel" lol. You crazy psycho that babbles.

The 16 y/o was basically a vegetable, the girls life was in danger because her brain had basically been fried, that's what made the perfect candidate for the princes mind to be put there, technically it saved both lifes, the princes mind and the girls physical body, it's actually quite funny reading on his different sensations and feelings because of having different............body parts. The author did a good job

I'm trying, that's why i asked for help :P

P.S. I spent half an hour trying to find the right spelling and couldnt find it so i just went with that, safari didnt think they were spelling mistakes....

Well if nobody can find the books then it's ok to just steal all those ideas and pretend they're mine then ?

Edit: Grammar. Wanted. One proof reader.

FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got sick of asking people who are meant to know this sort of crap so i just started random searches on book sites for it, (looking in fantasy sections and reading all the plots) i got to around 1300 on e-books(i think) and found some rather familiar names.

It is a series known as the Perl Saga series, the first book being the ring of 5 dragons

LINK: You can read a few pages here[/img]

So people who like reading a book every now and then, i highly recommend this one.

Struggling to survive an existence of enforced slavery on their home planet, the people of Kundala are slowly dying. Their oppressors the V'ornn, a technologically advanced, alien race, have reigned over the Kundalini with unyielding power for more than one hundred years. Only through the power of the lost, god-given Pearl can the Kundalini be saved from extinction, for within it lies a secret so potent it could tear the entire planet apart. However, only one man is destined to find and wield the awesome power of the Pearl, his name is Achaea, high prince of the alien V'ornn, foreordained to become his enemies' saviour - the fabled and long awaited Dar-Sala'at. To fulfil his destiny he first must die and be reborn, his spirit fused into the body of a young Kundalini girl, Riane. As coexisting spirits in a single body, the two young identities of different gender, culture and race, will not only have to hide the quest for the Pearl from those who would seek to try to snatch such power for themselves, but also resolve deeply ingrained prejudices, for without doing so, the Pearl will never be found, and the Kundalini, and Achaea are doomed.
