I've noticed that alot of you have bought games on the cheap at play-asia.com. And seeing as how post christmas sales are post christmas sales, if I wanna buy something I best have to wake up at dawn and camp outside the store in order to avoid the hordes of shoppings looking to grab a bargin. So with that in mind, is play asia reliable to order games off? and how does the whole system work btw?

You order, choose your shipping method and pay fairly simple.
I ordered some plushies though.

I dont find play-asia to be that much cheaper to be honest, you see the conversion from US$ to AU$ and its roughly 80+$ then you have to pay for shipping which can be expensive specially if you want it fedex'd.

I generally get them from EBAY cheaper or same price but shipping is only $6-8 for express cos they're in Aus (over east) rather than Hong Kong.

Play Asia can be alot cheaper. I find alot of good games cheap on there. You just have to make sure that the one your purchasing has a tick next to PAL, and it will work in your Aussie 360.

I haven't had a problem with any of the games I have got off them. Not sure on what they will be like to deal with if you did have a problem, hopefully I will never have to find out though.

I haven't had a problem with their shipping and usually get the games 2-5 days after ordering. If you go for express you will have it in 1-2 days everytime.

To me its a matter of looking for a bargin as some of their games can be just as expensive as buying it over here.
can you read this?

CDWOW is where I have been shopping recently and the games are alot cheaper than Playasia I have found and they have an Australian section which makes it easier finding stuff that is compatible.

Some NTSC work on Aus X360 also, I have a couple of those, like NTSC J and NTSC some arent region coded at all.

play asia is totally trustworthy in my experience, i dont know how much of a saving you will be getting now though, the prices for new releases on there used to be around $60, now the prices have creeped up to $65, and with the Australian Peso so low, as wil said the exchange rate + postage can put the cost of the import on par with the cost of the game purchase locally

With the exchange rate there isn't really a difference in price anymore unless you buy games on sale but there are weekly deals where there is usually a 360 game for just over $20. The past few weeks it has been the Lego games, Brothers in Arms and now it is Midnight Club so it is worth checking every week for that but I have never got any of them.

I usually just buy plushies or game guides from there but I bought a game on monday and it should arrive today according to the tracking. Very good if you want to import games that aren't out here yet. If you just want to buy games already out here it isn't worth it at the moment.

as Poison just said above, its a good way to get some games earlier. DS games especially are good to get off Play Asia..... im sure PS3 will be good too, as they are region free just like the DS.

if you want a game sooner goto Play Asia, if your looking for cheaper games, ebay will probably be better

yeah play-asia is all good, like someone said above, you have to make sure the game you want has a green tick next to the PAL symbol, and it will work with your aussie xbox. That doesnt mean that the game will be PAL though, most likely it will be a NTSC or NTSC-J game but it will definitely work.

The weekly specials are good to keep an eye on, i got R6 Vegas 2 just after it came out for $40 AUD, best bargain ive got

so do the prices include shipping as well or is that extra? Because from what you all are saying it all looks legit which was a concern of mine.

yeah it is worth checking it out every week to see which game is the bargain of the week.

Prices on there don't include postage but if you are just ordering a game the postage is usually only a few dollars and there are different options available for postage.

i dont think the prices include shipping, but yeah theres a few different options for postage, like regular, registered, first class, overnight etc with varying prices

i think regular is like $3, which is cheaper than most postage for games on ebay, ive got regular and it comes in a little air bubble envelope. i always get it sent to work so i know i'll be there when it arrives in the mail
