So since everyone was so interested in seeing my crap, I thought I'd start here -

Posted Image

My Freddy Shrine. Part of the reason I started shuffling things in the first place because I actually have more than that but I've run out of room. It needs a reshuffle, but I have a big pile of new He-Man figures sitting in front of it - the main reason for the reshuffle.

So here's my crap! Freddy Pooger!

Posted Image

Sorry, I didn't realise I lost focus on the head a bit, but I couldn't be arsed upping another shot of him. I have a smaller version of him as well which you can see in the box next to him on the shrine.

I'm particularly fond of this guy -

Posted Image

"Stylized Freddy" as he is called. If you're going to mess with a character, you better do a damn good job and highlight all that makes him awesome. They most definitely pulled that off. He looks nicely evil.

He was the second last thing I got for the shrine, and the newest only just showed up this week after I completely forgot I pre-ordered it at the start of the year. Might post that next because it' sitting right next to me and is actually a doll. Yes, an actual doll.

The original? I most definitely do. The original 3 Masters of the Universe figures were He-Man, Skeletor and Battlecat and I got them all for Christmas that year. I still have everything, though my only casualty is He-Man himself. Remember how the legs were kept on by a bit of rubber? Well his got old and had years of love, so it snapped. So now he's.... legless.

I'll do some Battlecat digging for you and chuck some photos up.

Ah yeah the good old figurines, yeah even GI Joe and the other Action mans were all rubber band body parts..
Soon as the weather gets to them - heat etc, they just go all crusty and snap.

I think it would have been the original battlecat from memory it was about 20-30cm long, and solid, pretty low detailed and I believe you could take the armor off it, I think it was in the pose of growling upwards or looking upwards with all legs as if it was walking.

Ok, so you prompted me to go pull out the original collection from their slumber. I keep them tucked away in the wardrobe, out of harms way. They've seen better days, as these were seriously my favourite things when I was a kid, and many weekends were spent with Castle Grayskull up one end of my room and Snake Mountain up the other, with epic wars fought in between.

I pulled them all out so I could pack them away a little better, and a little more summer friendly before they all suffer He-Man's fate.

That's all the originals I had as a kid. Just the figures themselves, I have the two castles and a bunch of vehicles as well. You can see King Hiss on the bottom left. ;)

And just for Jammers, Battlecat in all his glory.

BTW, I'm using Mazoo's lightbox that she has set up for her nail polish blog to get the clear pics on the white background. I am actually taking photo's of these things. :P

Lies, I reckon youre the one playing with it in the tub.

I forget the names of some of the He-Man figures, I think ManyFaces and Cyclops was one or two along with Orka/Ork or something I keep thinking Urkel haha..

Been a while jees.. I had them in the 80's along with Thundercats.

So, the aforementioned doll...

Mazoo has her own little collections as well, and her biggest one is Living Dead Dolls. Just a sample-

Posted Image

While most may look at them and just think they're evil little dolls, they do go a bit deeper than that as most are based off actual people or urban legends. The clown in this shot is based off John Wayne Gacey, and yes, the one with the "x" on her forehead is called Sadie.

Only just recently, they started doing the occasional licensed doll. There's a Beetlejuice version, a Jason Vorhees (released for the "remake", but he looked the same anyway), and earlier this year they released a Freddy Krueger. Unfortunately, not a proper Freddy but instead one based on that abomination of the same name. After much outcry, they quickly announced they would fix the situation by releasing a proper Freddy doll, though it would take a good part of a year for him to hit shelves. So way back then, I threw down some cash to pre-order two for myself so I could leave one boxed. They magically appeared on the front doorstep at the start of this week.

Posted Image

I have to admit, for an actual doll, he's pretty badass.

And to finish up, bonus points to anyone who can tell me who this might be?
