Let's discuss Keldor. There are three lines of Masters of the Universe figures. The original of the 80's, the figures that coincided with the 2003 cartoon series, and the current classics range. The 2003 series was an updated, but extremely respectable take on the franchise that was driven by the very fans that helped pull He-Man back out of obscurity. It was by no means a reboot or a monstrosity of any sort. Instead, it took all the back story available from things like the mini-comics that came with the original figures and put them into the show itself. The cartoons of these allow for alot more violence and depth and the characters already had that in abundance, they just could show all that kind of stuff 20 years ago. The current Classics range has gone back to the original figures themselves and simply made them more detailed and pose-able, while giving alot of fan service to the different cartoons and styles, and even adding in some random characters that hadn't been released as figures before, or other truly strange shit. I'll show those a bit later. Lets just say that one came with a little plastic loaf of bread.... That figure of Keldor I posted before is from the new Classics range. It's the first time he's been made available to the general public. This is one other figure though that came before it from the 2003 range... ![]() This Keldor was released at a German conventions somewhat similar to ComicCon. It was the only time and place he was made available, and I shit you not when I say that he came in a little plastic bag just like a friggen Happy Meal toy. Very weird shit. For those that haven't made the connection, lets tell the story. Keldor attempted to take the power of the Elders with his team of villians so that he may take the throne of Eternia, but was met the Captain of the Guards and his greatest enemy, Prince Randor and his allies. Keldor expected this and had brought with him a vile of powerful acid (as seen in both pics) that he intended to use on Randor to take him down. The battle was extremely fierce, and at a point when Keldor thought Randor had his guard down, he threw the vile at him. Randor managed to deflect the vile with his shield, breaking it and sending the acid back at Keldor's face. ![]() Badly wounded, he seeks the help of the banished Hordak. In exchange for a future favour, Hordak agrees to help Keldor, but in a cruel twist he does not restore either his face or the mental scarring that comes from such agony. Skeletor is born. ![]() Randor goes on to become King, and after seeing how close Keldor came to taking their power, the Elders buried it in the depths of Castle Grayskull until a chosen one would arrive to claim it. There has been a long time extra thought on this story that the 2003 series was intending to cover, and is confirmed on the back of the Classics box (though the stories on those are an absolute pile of shit that attempt to fit even the most obscure character into the cannon. Badly). It is believed that the rift between Keldor and Randor is actually a sibling rivalry, and that Keldor, Randor's blue skinned half brother, is pissed about his lack of rights to throne. And yes, that would mean that Skeletor is actually He-Man's uncle. |

Have you got castle Greyskull Hiss? I vaguely remember what it looked like too.. think it had a drawbridge that you could retract.. and a cage? though i may be confusing the cage with something else from my childhood. |

I have three Castle Grayskull's. The original, the 2003 version (which is my Live gamerpic), and the US version of the 2003 one which has some electronics shit going on with characters with chips in their feet. I think the Fright Zone had the cage. I don't have that one. |

hello there. True story here. I had Panthor. His skin/fuzziness came off his body and got caught in my eye. My mother then trued to sue Toy world (Do you remember that place?) But to no avail. It was a supplier fault. But truth be told, I also had issues with that green mofo who had the same sort of covering. Swamp man or Jungle man who knows. |
