I DID have Pac-man and Scramble games, but I haven't found them yet. Hope they didn't fall victim to the evil parental units of doom at some point.

I've been a bit busy with my new job and a nasty case of food poisoning. I'll have another dig tomorrow.

Both your collections are so awesome! I thought I had started building up a good collection of figures until we saw both your rooms lol.

Freddy Krueger gives me nightmares.

My latest additions - Demo Man and Battleground Evil Lynn.

Posted Image

Demo Man was actually a Skeletor prototype. As you can see, he even comes with an original Skeletor head, as he was drawn in the very first books. He had the greener face with the rounder eyes.

Battleground Evil Lynn was seen in the 2003 version of the cartoon during the Keldor flashbacks. She was most notably lacking her helmet, but they've thrown in the extra head if you wish to change it.

The stories on the backs of the boxes that try and fit these characters into one continuity are getting ridiculous. The stories are getting beyond stupid and contradictory.

Grabbed a quick shot of my limited edition Freddy statue out of my display case.

Posted Image

There is that unspeakable evil to it that I love. Freddy's true character could only ever be alluded to with the odd burnt doll next to the boiler, or the little girls in dream sequences, since killing small children in movies just isn't going to happen. I think they've captured his true nature really well.

One from a while ago that I didn't get to post up here - DEVASTATOR!!!

Posted Image

Collecting all the Constructicons in order to form Devastator was a huge effort back in the day. Takara in Japan released an anniversary collection of all the original figures, and now, I'd be really fucking awesome in the eyes of my Year 2 classmates.

You can see a glimpse of the box for my black Rodimus ultimate figure as well.

It is indeed. It drew me in the moment I first saw it, and it seriously is limited. Became very hard to find very quickly, and isn't exactly a cheapie either. Mazoo nabbed me the only one she could find on eBay for my birthday last year. He is my ultimate Freddy trophy (outside of the pinball machine) now.

See, even though some people say that stuff like that is a waste of time, If I had the room (likely will when I move out) for a display case I would happily have a corner of the house just to display stuff like that.

Mine has a downlight that I've hooked up to a footswitch I can discreetly keep in the corner, and it looks friggen spectacular at night. I'll get a photo later.

Classic King Hiss and Evil Lynn.

Posted Image

This is the true classic Evil Lynn with the yellow skin and blue outfit. The other chap is the one and only King Hiss! Leader of the Snake Men.

The original King Hiss had an upper body that was just a plastic shell that fell apart to show his true snake-self underneath. They took the easy route with the Classics figure and just had an entirely replaceable upper body.

Posted Image

This is Beetlejuice, the youngest of my snake children.

Posted Image

He obeys Master Hiss at all times.

See, snake love!

Where did you get your display cabinet? Those figures are awesome! Is that a new snake or did you have it before?

Found it in a furniture shop on Blaxland Rd. Was the last one so I got it for a good price.

You haven't met Beetlejuice yet. He's only a baby.

Only this one.

Building a MAME cabinet has always been on my list of projects, but I've never gotten to it. A modded Xbox and things like the iCade sort of lowered its priority.

So I came home today to another Mattel box. I have two Masters of the Universe Classics subscriptions, so they normally send me a box a month with my figures and they're running a bit behind this year, so I figured they'd finally caught up. Opened the box to find a typical white mailer box, but a far different size and shape than any of the others. I thought maybe they sent my Wind Raider already or something, until I flipped over the box and say this.

Posted Image

I forgot about that one! Middle of last year they put up subscriptions for a whole new set of Voltron Lions and figures. I grabbed one as soon as I read that the fully complete Voltron will be a whopping 23 inches!

As you can see from the nex pic, the Lion itself is actually a fair bit more articulate than the original. It does bend in the middle, it has a proper arm joint and won't rely on the tail to connect, and has two buttons that make the legs pop out of Voltron form. Lance comes with two heads (helmeted and non-helmeted) a part of the sword, and his key to the Lion. The Lion does also come with it's blade weapon, like the original did, but it has no chance of being functional.

Posted Image

The key is used to pop a little latch on the top which opens up Lance's compartment to sit in.

Posted Image

As a comparison, here is the Lion next to Hurricane Hordak, since Horday is your standard sized action figure. Now, take into consideration that the red lion is just Voltron's right arm and you can get a concept of how epic this is going to be. The original red and green Lions were the smallest two on the original Voltron, but this one is built much more faithfully to Voltron's actual design. I would still say they would still fractionally be the smallest, but not by as much as before. The black lion is going to be massive!
