Hmm looks interesting. Bit like an isometric view of Minecraft. Im looking to get more info on this.

Demo: http://www.fileplanet.com/220702/220000/fileinfo/Project-Zomboid-Pre-Alpha-Tech-Demo

Does this require a server like mine craft and has multiplayer capability?
Just browsing the website now to get more info.

What version are you running?

Usually you go to Apple (icon) > System update and it should download the update if any.
What version OS are you running.

I'll check that link and see what its about.

Im guessing you've got a Core Duo MacBook (not Core 2 Duo) and its on Tiger OSX which I think from memory is 10.4 or 10.5 something like that.

Thats one way, but if your machine is old which chances are it is, it may have issues with Snow Leo.
Seems they stopped making Java at 1.5 for Macs that are Core Duo's and using the 10.5 and lower OS.

You don't have to buy SL anyway they aren't key coded like Windows is so just download it off the net somewhere.

I couldn't follow that instructions much on the SoyLatte website, seems easy in some parts but seems to lack detailed instructions as to what you're doing and if you do anything in terminal and what files you'd exactly need, I thought it might require a few.

http://2tbsp.com/node/106

Looks like you need to punch in a few Terminal commands, the above website shows what you'd need to do a bit more.

i dont understand this line.

Add the soylatte16-1.0.3/bin path to your $PATH variable to use soylatte rather than the JDK 1.5 that comes installed

The games not bad, reminds me of the old games like leisure suit larry a bit, you use WASD to move around and click to open boxes near etc. with a crafting area in your inventory say to make a bed sheet into bandages.

Its a bit fiddly this, altho its the pre-alpha version, just making stuff you think you could combine items like use the can opener on the can of food and open it but you need to put it within the crafting slots and make the item from that then put the food in the oven and turn on, to which I left it in too long and it set fire to the house and my leg, then i walked around the house and spread it everywhere before dying.

Depends on the shell it's using and how complete the unix backend is, but in your home directory will be a hidden file called .login that will have a line to set your PATH variable. That's to set it permanently.

For just a one off to test, you can change it from the command line and it will be forgotten one that session ends.
