The remasters of Ico and Shadow of the Collosus where released this week. Also, the PS 3 release of child of Eden. I bought both (ico and sotc come together).

They're both "budget" releases. Sub $50 at JB.

I've only played COE so far, just the first level. Impressions - good, I prefer it on PS3. I gave up on the 360 version as after a promising start playing it with kinect proved too much trouble than it was worth. Works well with the move controller, not least because it doesnt keep saying it can't see me and I need to recalibrate it. Less moving of the furniture as well.

The fact that the ps3 version supports 3d is the icing on the cake. The 3d is well implemented in the main, although some of the wireframe stuff looks a bit funny in 3d - messes with your head a bit. Pretty impressive overall though.

I'll post impressions of Ico and SOTC when I've had chance to play them. Really looking forward to SOTC as it's one game I've always wanted to play but haven't got round to.

I'm pretty keen on ico and sotc as I've never played them, but thought there is no point on me buying anything so close to Dark Souls, as thats going to take up all my time for quite a while.

Let us know how you go.

Didn't even realise ICO and SOTC were out already. Bought SOTC on PS2 about a year ago but never ended up playing it, both games are meant to be really good though.

I finished first play through of Ico. What a great game. In many respects it's aged superbly, the sense of scale is still amazing and even better in 3d. I'd onlyever played the demo before, so playing through the whole thing was a revelation.

From a game design point of view it's fantastic; although certain design elements are very much of its day such as the save system and the game camera (semi fixed). However, in context these serve to heighten the experience anyway. It's a perfect length, great puzzles and awesome architecture/level design, and the way you interact with yorda engenders a true sense of connection. I can't think of another game where you have to protect an ai character that does that to the extent ico does.

I know there's a lot of talk as Ico being the evidence games can be "art". Prsonally I think that whole debate is stupid - define art? - but certainly Ico shows that games are a unique story telling medium and can evoke emotion, fire the imagination and engage the audience in the same way that the best books or films can.

I was already tossing up about whether I should grab them now to play at some point. Lots of good games now, but I've been curious for a long time. It was staring at me while I was picking up Rage and Dark Souls, and then I remember all this praise you piled on it this morning Blue. That purchase is entirely your fault now. I told the missus to blame you. ;)

Damn, I forgot to come back and post "kidding, it sucks really".

Make sure to play it in 3d, it's worth it.
