This looks pretty cool, like a bit splinter cell like.

The hitman games completely passed me by, I played a demo of one of them which I remember was quite good but for some reason have never bought a full game.

That vid actually looks quite cool. Intrigued now.

Yeah whats with this, seems like a mix of batman, splinter cell and some other games all in one, he has no tech visible and shown in use yet is able to see the walking path of the enemy patrolling and through walls...

I enjoy the Hitman games, but when its given some automatic superman abilities to see through walls and the path walked by people then its bound to be very linear and scripted AI.

I bet they say that's his "hitman sixth sense", and that's why he is a supremo hit man.

I don't mind scripted, same as metal gear solid or deus ex; sort of like a game of chess against the AI

I don't mind scripted ai so much, its just more the replayability of it afterwards, but in this day and age surely they can create AI thats not predictable and scripted and has its own intelligence to wander aimlessly or react to the player a bit better.

Though then again, these type of games you really have to script it as it becomes tough to complete the missions unseen if its random and unpredictable pathing, you'd spend hours trying to finish one level if that were the case.

I do know what you mean. Like in deus ex - some guy is patrolling, and his path takes him straight past a static sentry, you take out the static guy but on the next walk around the dude patrolling doesn't notice his buddy has gone.

At first I was a bit peeved by that but then I thought how hard it would be otherwise...

Having said that though, I think it could be done... In the example above, the guy doesn't necessarily have to trigger an alarm, but could at least go looking for his bud eg "damn Tim, always skiving off, bet he's gone on a smoke again"... Heads off to find him...

The toughness of the old games is something That I really enjoyed, and the way it ran I reckon was fantastic. The amount of ways you could do hits on a single level was awesome. For example there is one mission I remember quite well was that you had to make a hit of a dealer(cant remember what) while he was making a deal in a restaurant, but it had to be done in the 7 min window while they were making the deal. you could go guns blazing, full stealth, or be tricky and such, for example, I followed the driver if the limo into the alley where he took a piss, while doing so I strangled him with the piano wire, took his uniform, and just walked in and sat in the car seat, put some C4 in the car, and snuck out. When the hit hopped int he car, I blew up the car. By then I'd strangled and stole the uniform of one of the cartel's grunts, then I killed the other leader and the 2 cartels went at war, after that I mopped up the rest with a sniper o the top of a building and then extracted.
DISCLAIMER:Don't like what i say? Suck it up Princess

Well it's just a demo movie, they could turn around and really surprise us. I loved that game too necris.

Remember the level where there was like a playboy party up in a mansion in the snow and you could kill the mark by shooting through the bottom of the spa. Ah good times.
