Given the first scene, there's been a lot of fuck-ups. Some people don't know how to emote, those who do know how to emote can't use it properly and when it's a group beef, emote really just doesn't help. A lot of people have asked for the rules to be made desc and not emote, so I'm posting this in their favour as a suggestion to benefit the role play. |

The reason it's emote is so it's accessible to everyone. I'm not catering just for mafia role-players or gang role-players, no matter what the role-play itself is like. If it's desc, then people who can't desc or type fast enough are going to complain and I'll have people walking round killing one another every five minutes. With emote, people who can type fast enough are going to complain because some people aren't as good as others at emote role-play. At the end of the day, no matter whether I change the rules to desc or keep it as emote, I'm gonna have complaints regardless. I've stayed up late at nights to make sure everything is linked, make sure shit's getting built and make sure there's everything on the forums that needs to be there and I'm still getting shit from people, complaining about god knows what and fucking combat RP rules. They're not changing, end of discussion. |

That scene would have been astronomically worse if it were desc. Your friend just needs to learn that just because he says a punch ''comes out of nowhere'', doesn't mean it ACTUALLY comes out of nowhere. Also, getting all unnecessarily antsy about someone who was GENUINELY performing for the crowd, and expecting him (for absolutely no reason at all) to turn on the crowd like, in your words ''Arthur Shelby'', is ridiculous and just made the scene completely hostile. Emote is fine, just some people (not you since you didn't do anything, at least physically) need roughing around their edges, especially diplomatically.

I expect people to have some common decency and recognise that the roleplay has only just open and things are still subject to change. |

Just my opinion, you decided to open the RP. You should've known that once it opened, complaints would be rolling in faster then I roll my dick into all of ur girls' pussy. A good owner would actually listen and make compromises. And seeing the poll, people want desc more then they want emote. |

The only people who want the default to be emote, are people who know they can beat everyone else if they tried. That isn't the kind of role-play I'm trying to run here. I don't want it to be about typing speed and whoever the fuck can spam on their keyboard the fastest. That isn't what role-play is about, and if you want this role-play to turn into that? Fuck off and role-play somewhere else. The ruleset isn't changing, that's my final decision. Closing this thread. |
