Nope, I saw it 2D, 28FPS. Tone was brighter than LOTR, but it didn't feel like a children's book, it felt like it belonged in the LOTR franchise. It had a lot of similar camera angles in LOTR, which I didn't like. (You'll notice that when you watch The Hobbit.) But it was really good, a must see. |

I saw it in 48fps and 3d. It was weird at first but grows on you. Best way to describe it is that you feel as though you're looking into a window rather than a screen. Some scenes and CGI do look fake with it though, but with improvement i can see it becoming the standard fps for films. |

Finally saw this. Was awesome and reminded me so much of why i loved LOTR. Can't wait for part 2. Freeman is fantastic as Bilbo too. Didn't see it in 48fps though. |

Everyone I was talking to who had seen it in 48FPS says that it's so good it makes the sets look fake. |

My theater didn't offer 48fps I really want to see it in that frame rate though so i can compare it with the standard. I'm sure the higher frame rate works well in some ways but for the sets and CGI and the novelty of how movies usually look i'm not sure if it works overall. Clarity is an amazing thing, but cinema is just meant to be a certain way. |

I wonder when we'll see TV's and Discs with the 48fps format for films and even TV. That'll be interesting. |

Surprised nobody has posted it yet. Am i the only one that thinks Legolas looks awfully fake in this? It's almost like they over cgi'd Orlando Blooms face to make him look younger. |

He looks older which is the problem, his face has gotten rounder as it does when you get older. He was a lot more fresh faced. Don't get me wrong though it still looks fucking awesome
