Looking for a PVR not sure which is the best. Can't really spend too much? Is there anything for under the 100 mark?

Have you tried the Roxxio Game Capture?

http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/game-capture/console/overview.html

From reviews it seems to be great and is under the 100 mark both in the us and uk.

That is for ps3/xbox though if you were looking at pc i know those are a lot cheaper and someone else can maybe give suggestions :) Hope that helps!

For console the best PVR is the Hauppauge HD PVR. Don't stop at just PVR's though, if you have money to spend the Black Magic intensity pro gives very good quality.
For PC gaming I didn't know they did PVR's but if they do I wouldnt reccomend it, the best way to go is with software like bandicam (stay away from FRAPS, it's terrible).
Keyboard + Mouse or die. Consololololol. Lolconsole. I'm an elitist prick.

Obviously the Hauppauge is the best, but you can get the Roxio for $70* and for simple stuff like GB proof and just random videos it looks like it is worth it.

*If you use this link and the coupon code ROXIOSTORE15

It captures BC2 pretty well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mQwwLrYb_o

Oh nice one SG. Might just pick that up myself. Quality is great too as are the reviews. Steal at that price.

Yeah i did and used it for a few months but it's not good enough for montages or fancy videos if you plan on doing that. It is however great value for the occasional video or gameplay.

It really depends on what you want one for. For casual use i'd recommend it. But if you're looking to really put time and effort into your videos i'd recommend something a bit more higher in quality.

How is the quality of the passthrough video (the video seen on your TV while recording)? I've heard it can be really blurry.

I only noticed it occasionally with bf3. Not sure if that's the case for everyone but it didn't bother me enough to never use it. Lack of time just stopped me from using it. It might depending on what you consider too blurry, how close to the tv you're sitting and so on.

The Dazzle (one I have) is similar to the Roxio.
I have a 1080P HD TV, and play in HD all the time. So when I had to play in SD for my Dazzle it was unplayable.
I guess it depends on your TV.

I'll hopefully be getting a HD PVR soon.
I want to start making youtube videos again. It was really fun.
But, this time on my own, and more professionally.
