Alright, so we have an election on our hands. This will be run much the same as other elections in other rounds and thus the rules will be largely the same. The campaign will start on Tuesday the 26th at 0:00am BST. So that you all have ample time to prepare and any new players can get set up before the ball starts rolling. (The 27th is incidentally the day before my birthday so you Labourites better do me proud! Also, big birthday gifts may alter results slightly ) Of course, Tories will have to work extra hard! Joking. The campaign will end on Wednesday the 4th of May at 0:00am BST. The results will then be announced that evening. So, really you have from this Wednesday until midnight on the following Tuesday to campaign. Any campaign material etc issued after the campaign deadline shall not be counted. However, if it was a speech and I'm in a good mood I might move it to the PCs forum which will be open all through the campaign. Campaigning cost points, people. The Conservative Party, with their massive financial muscle will be allocated 1,500 points, the Labour Party shall have a budget of 1,250 and the Liberal Democrats shall not be campaigning instead, their fates will be Mod simulated dependent on many varying factors. Here is the price-list for campaign items: High Profile rally or speech* - 10 points National Posters - 35 Points Regional Posters - 25 Points National Leaflets - 15 Points Postcards - 5 Points Campaign garden sign - 5 points Regional Leaflets - 5 point T-Shirts and other merchandise - 5 Point Badges and Balloons - 5 point *Please PM Mods for permission if you wish to speak to a certain group - e.g Citizens UK Normal speeches are unlimited and free. Over-spending will be punished. Each party is also entitled to a Party Election Broadcast or P.E.B, which is free. Hopefully, after the elections we should be able to open up the Lib Dems for business but that is not guaranteed. In terms of media coverage, the BBC will do a special feature programme on each of the three parties and on three key policy areas on the day that the manifestos are released, on Economic Policy, Domestic Policy and Foreign Policy. Each day of the campaign there shall be a panel show on the campaign. Newspapers will continue to write articles and accept editorials and will give their endorsement on the second last day of campaigning. Opinion polls shall be published on each day of the campaign. News will also still trickle from the usual forums. In terms of election night results shall start rolling in from around 7pm BST onwards. The Admin Team shall try to make waiting times between regional results and such like reasonable and all the while there shall be political comment. Every active player shall have their individual seat announced. Before results are announced there will be a final exit poll. Good luck and get preparing. Any queries should be addressed to myself or George in reply to this topic. Officially I shall be in charge of the election but George and I will still go about our regular duties during this period which I believe I still have to publish. |

Very likely. I will consult both leaders to find a date that suits both party's, if Ethan joins the Lib Dems he will also take part as we'll just bung him in as leader. |

No cos you have to write a letter. Plus they haven't endorsed you. If the do then you can but in all fairness, your letter should be enough. |

You may not address the bosses but you may make a speech to the TUC. David, it's not your place. |

Two questions: Did I get any bonus points for being partially endorsed by TUC? Is Regional Posters more effective than National Posters for that region? (ie, more heavily concentrated?) |
