David MacDonald addresses voters in cardiff about labour's plans to cut unemployment

Good afternoon everyone, Recently I’ve seen the conservative manifesto. Mr martland talks of a new era of economic growth and yet they caused a recession, they caused high unemployment. They want to advocate the failed principles which led to this recession. Times up, I thought we’d see a new approach from the tories, I thought they’d realised that they needed a new approach to the economy. I was sorely mistaken. The conservatives are clinging to the failed policies of the past. On unemployment they offer no strategy for creating jobs. They talk of further action on the trade unions. That’s not a key concern of the average Briton. I’m fighting this election on the issues that really matter- one of these is jobs.
The conservatives offer little solutions for increasing the number of jobs in the economy. With high unemployment you’d have thought they’d be concerned. Apparently they aren’t too bothered about it. Labour care about your job. That’s why we’ve advocated a national minimum wage so that you are paid properly.
More than that, my party have got a very comprehensive plan for jobs. We have said we’ll reduce the dole queues by a million by repairing our public services and working with the private sector. Furthermore, we will create a further 300,000 jobs by improving the health and education sectors of our economy. On top of that we want to start a skills programme which will provide jobs for 360,000 young people and adults with jobs.

In short- we have shown that we will reduce unemployment by roughly 1.7million. Now, that’s progress. How many did the tories say they’d create. They didn’t even make such a commitment to reducing unemployment by such a large amount.

In conclusion, there’s only one party who care about getting Britain working. That’s Labour and a new labour government will reduce unemployment by 1.7million within 5 years. That’s what I call progress and that’s what matters. Your job is your livelihood and we are ensuring that we deliver that if we are elected. Don’t give the tories another chance!

Please if you want to protect your job or get off the dole queue then there’s a simple thing you need to do and that is to vote labour!
Thank you

Christopher McGowan addresses voters in Cardiff

Men and women of Cardiff! Workers and youth! The coming election is the first election in a long time where a party to the left of the current Labour party has a chance at getting into Westminster. Of course, this has a very simple reason. Namely, that the "New Labour" has been a massive step to the right.

The Socialist Labour Party is the Labour that our fathers and our grandfathers fought for. The SLP is what Labour should be, and was. The SLP is the party for the working class and the poor... not the middle class. The New Labourites are dead-set on liberalising their policies for the sake of upper-middle class voters. For the sake of English nationalists.

Our industry is in shambles. The Free Market extremism of the Tories have destroyed our mining and heavy industry sectors. They have castrated the Trade Unions with draconian anti-union laws. The Winter of Discontent was bad... but it didn't destroy entire sectors of our economy. That is what the free market has wrought, something that a Union could never even mange to do. Now, New Labour is also shaming the Tories for their anti-Union policy... but why doesn't New Labour then want to remove the draconian Anti-Union laws? That is, because that would alienate their middle class voters. The SLP intends to fully remove the restrictions on Union activity in our country.

Not only do the SLP support the removal of the Anti-Union Laws that has been partially responsible for the outsourcing and closures in our industry. We are socialists. We support democratic management of the industries that the private sector can't manage. Outsourcing and closures certainly is a failure on the part of the private sector. The heavy industries, mining operations and petroleum sector in Britain needs to be nationalised. The capitalists have ravaged our industry enough, leading to massive unemployment. They play with investments. We need to re-take what is rightfully ours. We need to reverse the privatisations of the Tories, as well as nationalise industries that are threatened with closures and outsourcing. With the profits from these industries, the VAT can be abolished and the public services be funded far better.

Poverty and unemployment has become rampant due to the de-Industrialisation. This is not progress, this is going back to before Victorian times! The wealth of our country is in our industry, our mines, our farms, but chiefly of all... in the working classes. It is we who have built up our country, and now the upper classes is tearing it to shreds with their hell-bent extreme free marketeering. And New Labour? They follow suit.

Many of you are ardent Labour voters. But in this election, there are two Labour parties... New Labour or Socialist Labour. So, which side are you on boys? Are you for liberalist Labour, or Socialist Labour? Lower-middle-Class Labour, or Working-Class Labour?

When you step into that ballot, remember this. The Socialist Labour Party is the party for every man and woman who wants to have a safe job, a healthy wage, social rights and an equal Britain. No to privilege! No to poverty! No to unemployment! Vote Socialist Labour!

Paddy Ashdown addresses voters in cardiff about the Liberal Democrats plans save the nation.

Paddy Ashdown: Hello Cardiff!! As you all know I am Paddy Ashdown and I am the Leader of the Liberal Democrats. As you know Labour will continue to say one thing and do another. The Tory's will do what they do best lie to our faces. It is time for a change that works for you.

I have to give you an example of what we see in the House. The Troy's will call and the Labour will yell and the Liberal Democrats give real solutions to real problems.

Our plan to not tax the first 10,000 pounds you earn so you can spend more money. The banks need broken up they will hoard money while small business needs loans then they fail and good people lose jobs. What has Labour done nothing for you. The party does not know where the even stand on the issues. so the choice is your. Here let's look at history both parties have done nothing for you but make a good show in the Prime Minsters questions.

We offer a new party but a new approach to politics and ending the old slaying match from the far Right and far Left. We will have tremendous success not only here but all over our great nations. We can and will win a majority of seats with you votes. So I cay today come and join us.
