So everyone out there has pretty much played Dead Space 2, unless you hate the game, and rather play hello kitty or something. OOOOORRRRR your mom is a hard driving general crazed women who hates horror games, and wants to shelter you till your 30 years old. Aaaaannnnyyyyy way. This game we all know what's it about, but here I'm going to explain to you what gun is good for the job. Now for the record not all the guns are going to be on here either A. i don't have the DLC for it, or B. i haven't used it truth be told do to my life style, and busyness of it i haven't had much time to play it needless to say i have yet to actually beat the game. So without further a do here's the list.

((Before i begin to answer any question about the Plasma Cutter, and Refurbished Plasma Cutter. Yes they are the same gun one is from Dead Space 1 (Refurbished), and the other now. The only difference in them is the look they act the same take the same ammo, and when you upgrade one the other is also upgraded. The Refurb. Plasma Cutter is only unlocked as a DLC it's free if you get the limited edition version.))

> Plasma Cutter/Refurbished Plasma Cutter :: BEST WEAPON IN THE GAME! not only was it the best in DS 1 it's is also your best friend in this game. It's small it's ammo is not so limited, and it is perfect for cutting off limbs. Even when you first get the gun WHICH IS AT THE BEGINNING!, it still kicks ass. Only a couple hits to a limb, and bam the Necromorph is down and crawling giving you good shot at their arms. Also once fully upgraded it pretty much takes a limb off in one shot.
[Regular Fire :: shoots a blast out good for popping off limbs.]
[Alt Fire :: turns so you can shoot either vertically or horizontally.]

> Line Gun :: The line gun. Ultimately not my personal favorite, but I've got to say it's helped me in some situations a lot. The gun is pretty good even before you upgrade it. It maws through the creatures with one shot. So say if you got a hole crap load of Necromorphs in front of you one standing right after the other. Take one second to aim, and shoot for the legs congrats you just dropped two Necromorphs to the floor. No crisis them, and take out the arms. Less of course your speedy gun trigger finger, and you can easily aim, and shoot an arm off .... or two. It's also very handy with the "The Pact" or whatever the horde of children that show up to claw your face out every so often. Line them up or get them in a group, and shoot. Now instead of wasting some precious ammo you use only one.
[Regular Fire :: shoots a straight forward beam out good for slicing off limbs.]
[Alt Fire :: shoots a projectile bomb that after a certain amount of time it goes off good for some well timed crowd control. xXCAUTIONXx Alt Fir hurt you pretty good so be careful.]

> Ripper :: One of the most useful guns in the game. It's got to be the most easiest gun to use to slice of the limbs. I've got to say i have a personal experience with this gun in the first game after getting the one gun alone trophy/achievement I used this gun. Got to say it is a very useful gun at cutting up the Necromorphs.
[Regular Fire :: shoots one blade out good for slicing limbs off.]
[Alt Fire :: shoots a connected blade out good for hacking at the enemy cutting off multiple limbs. Also another good one for crowd control.]

> Detonator :: I've got to say one of the most useful guns in the game if your in a corner... WHY? Because it sets motion sensitive mines on the ground. So it's pretty useful against those raptor like creatures. The ones that hide around a corner then charge at you, and are a pain in the a**. Plus if you kill them all, and still have mines left over press the alt fire, and the disarm so you can pick them back up.
[Regular Fire :: Drops a motion sensor mine.]
[Alt Fire :: Disarms the mine so you can pick it back up.]

> Javelin Gun :: One of the new guns to Dead Space it's kinda useful. It's good for piercing an enemy to the wall takes a few shots with some later in the game. Good way of telling if the enemy is dead, and not playing possum. In my personal opinion the only reason this gun seems useless is what it does you can do on your own with TK instead of using up inventory space, money, and ammo.
[Regular Fire :: Shoots a single Javelin at the enemy piercing them.]
[Alt Fire :: After using the regular fire the alt fire will electrocute the enemy, and near that area. Good for some electrifying crowd control hahahaha... get it ... uh yeah no never again. xXCAUTIONXx Alt fire can hurt you doing some damage be careful.]

> Seeker Rifle :: It's a matter of opinion on this one. Think of it as a sniper rifle. It can be useful since one or two shots can take an enemy out. Not to mention the alt fire is a zoom, and when upgraded it can zoom further. Shoot the limbs the snap right off. Problem is it's a slow shot, so take the shot from a distance.
[Regular Fire :: A sharp piercing shot that can blow a limb off, and damage anything behind that first creature.]
[Alt Fire :: just a typical zoom. **ADDS DAMAGE WHEN ZOOMED**]

> Pulse Rifle :: Got to say it all depends on how you see this gun. At first look it seems useless, but it seems a little better the when in Dead Space 1. It's got a high rate of fire so if you into automatic guns here you go. My advice for using it is aim like any other gun for the limbs a little less damage due to it not packing a punch, but it gets the job done good for some crowd control if i may say.
[Regular Fire :: Just like any automatic it shoots at a high rate of fire.]
[Alt Fire :: If I'm correct when used Isaac puts it to the ground, and it sends a damaging shock wave through the ground damaging surrounding enemies. **More Research needs to be done**]

> Flame Thrower :: **WARNING MATTER OF OPINION** I've got to say the most flipping useless weapon in the game. It's a torch... what is this -The Thing-... anyway. The reason i find this weapon so useless is it torches your enemies instead of ripping their limbs off. Now we all know a good dead Necromorph is a Necromorph in pieces.
[Regular Fire :: Just shoots out a flame to burn things.]
[Alt Fire :: **MORE TO COME**]

((More to come))

<<UPDATE>>
Will soon be adding how many power nodes it takes to max out the gun, and what the gun special ability is.

Bravo Serenold this is a very good and well informed little guide and I have to agree with yo my little plasma cutter got me from the beginning to end. I loved that gun so much I was mad when I got health packs instead of plasma energy :D

It's not done yet. I still have more guns to add. I'll soon be getting to the suits too, and New Game+, but yeah i totally wasted the last boss with my totally tricked out plasma cutter... :-/ unfortunately I'll have to work on this part more cause i wanted to add how many nodes it takes to max out a gun, and it's SPC power when that's active.
