Just read this on the website of the BBc press office "Also on Burns Night, No Holds Bard, a 60-minute comedy drama featuring a star-studded cast including Ashley Jensen, Denis Lawson and Tony Curran, will screen on BBC One Scotland. It follows the lives of competitors as they prepare to vie for the 2009 Cup O' Kindness – the trophy awarded to the champion in Burns recital. This contemporary drama captures the ups and downs as the pressure intensifies, the poems are recited and the champion is crowned. Held in Alloway, the poet's birthplace, this prestigious competition is the centrepiece of the annual celebrations devoted to the Bard's immortal memory. The cast also includes Bill Paterson, Ford Kiernan, Greg Hemphill, Barbara Rafferty, Paul Higgins, Laura Fraser, Ron Donachie, Katy Murphy and Forbes Masson." |

Where's Tina?!
Gosh, sounds good! Bill in a comedy should be interesting to see, and I've always had a soft spot for Ashley Jensen... |
Tina: Good news? Justine: Yeah, the hospital's okay'd my research, I'm going to speak to some critical patients today. Tina: Oh, that'll be jolly. ![]() Tina Fan | |
