That's so not true, and I'm actually quite hurt that you think we're ganging up on you because of some "inner circle", there is no inner circle here, like Brit + Lonestar said, and if you want to get to know us regular posters then feel free, it'd be nice to get to know you, but there are no forum politics going on here. Look, I'm willing to say I read your comments wrong and thought you were talking to me and Mark, but still, even if your remarks were directed at him, they still included what I had said since I had said much the same thing, so I don't see why it's such a big deal that I countered your comments, just because they were aimed at Mark. It's an open debate, and this?:
That's not a debate! If everyone just says their views and doesn't get challenged on it, then it's not a debate! Or even a discussion! Anyway, you're right, misunderstandings are silly, so let's just leave this since we're not really getting any where. I thought episode 3 was spectacular, for serious, that was one solidly entertaining hour of telly. I'm impressed. |

will the older defense woman from that episode (the one defending the posh prostitute women) return for another episode? She was amaaazingly captivating ![]() Still loving this, and Bill, and Bradley Walsh (with his pocket full of sweets LOL) |

Hehehe! I loved the pocket of sweets, and the bribe-croissant - it's the little things like that which colour the characters personalities enough for me ![]() Anyway, agreed that this 3rd episode was amazingly brilliant, I was so wrapped up in it, I would easily put L&O UK as one of my favourite tv shows now! |

I only caught the last episode there... is Bill's part quite small? It seemed like he didn't have many scenes or much to do in them, for such a great actor! Maybe it was just the episode I saw... anyhoo, looking forward to tonights! |

Now that was another GREAT episode!!!! Poor tall lawyer guy (mind blank on his name, apologies!) though I'm glad he got to rile up the creepy guy at the end there. Mwuaha, oh how the tables turn ![]() Bit more of Bill this week, and Bradley Walsh still being fantastic and out acting (I'd say) everyone. Love it. ![]() I agree with you Leo, Bill's role is quite small considering, but who knows, maybe his character gets an episode more about him, since this week it was mostly about tall lawyer guy, maybe next week it'll center around Bill's character George. Or Walsh, or Jamie Bamber. |

There wasn't enough Bradley Walsh in it last night which didn't make me think it was the best so far, though I liked seeing the '2 sides' of the cast meeting. What is the point of Freema's character

Yeah, for me the 3rd is still the best, but this episode made me really like James Steel (aka the tall lawyer guy ) he's a really strong actor too, and I wanted to give him a cuddle when he looked like he was about to burst into tears after that horrible Slade guy taunted him!Freema's character is like a sound board for James, as is George (Bill Paterson). |

I don't think Freema's character needs to be anything more than she is, and for all people complain she's a bad actress, I think she's doing just fine in this role. James Steel (lol, tall lawyer guy!) was really quote moving in the last episode. Great actor, and, err, quite handsome, too, might I add? |

Where's Tina?!
|
I'd say both Freema Agyeman and Jamie Bamber are there to look pretty and listen to the other characters, and, as has been said, be 'sounding boards' for them. Which, for Freema Agyeman I'm thankful, though I do think Jamie Bamber is a better actor than that.
Though it is a series, and thus, as new episodes are shown, shouldn't they be taken into consideration as well? If I stood by my original thoughts on the first episode (which I still stand by) I'd be saying I didn't like this show, yet, having seen further (better) episodes, I'd say I do. So, it is important to draw from more than the first episode. Nor do I agree it's so black and white that your on the positive side and I'm on the negative. But anyway, Bill Paterson's still shamelessly underused, as is Harriet Walter. Do they not realise how brilliant an actress she is? |
|
Tina: Good news? Justine: Yeah, the hospital's okay'd my research, I'm going to speak to some critical patients today. Tina: Oh, that'll be jolly. ![]() Tina Fan | |

Aha! Thank you for pointing that out, Craigfan, I've now updated the topic's first page. I think they are showing 7 episodes, but more than that have been filmed, and will be split up into a 'second' series. There's also a cast photo, with Bill, on the original post of this thread too, now Enjoy! The next episode sounds good indeed! |

I'm glad to hear there are more to come, hopefully Bill's character will get a 'centric' episode like Steel, and hopefully other characters will as well. Or maybe I've been watching too much Lost . . . ![]() I have to say, though, the opening credit titles are awful! |
