The Rules
If this is going to work out, like all roleplays, we need some ground rules. You've probably roleplayed before, and you aren't stupid: you know not to godmod and metagame. Here's the stuff that probably needs clarifying - it's simple enough...
- General
- Two characters MAXIMUM per person. If you really want a secondary character, it NEEDS to be a clone (share a faceclaim with a pre-existing character, but otherwise have their own identity, backstory and personality) in order for the roleplay to work. Note: clones don't know they're clones, so if they run into someone with the exact same face as them, it should make a pretty unpredictable scene.
- Continuity is important - please remember any injuries and act them out accordingly.
IC combat, weapons and crime
- Assume CCTV is in all public places. That's what it's like in real life, right? Don't carry out BLATANTLY SUSPICIOUS ILLEGAL ACTIVITY (i.e. literally stabbing a person or starting a fire or whatever) in broad daylight unless you want your character prosecuted. This also keeps it semi-realistic so we don't have deaths and crime left, right and centre.
- Fight is EMOTE unless both parties agree to be desc. Not all of us are fast typers. Equal opportunities, folks.
- Ask a staff member's permission to use a weapon in game. Not everyone can be reppin' the gang shit. Not everyone carries knives around or brings a gun to school. Please keep that in mind.
- Death and life-changing injuries need to be agreed upon. We're all fairly attached to our characters, so we should get a say in when we let them go.
OOC conflict
- Re: reports, use the designated section of the forums. Please don't complain to staff members over private messages: it's easier for us to sort it if we see screenshots and a proper description within these forums.
- Just don't be a dick. Trolling and harrassment is just plain unnecessary: if it needs explaining, then you probably shouldn't be allowed on the internet. Don't start fights/make transphobic, racist or otherwise offensive comments - if you're that kind of person, we don't want you here. End of story. Everyone's on the website for their own personal reasons, and we want people to be civilised and get along.
Please feel free to ask us anything about these rules! If you have any storyline ideas, please message a member of staff - we'd love to hear and incorporate them! Happy roleplaying!
